In this tutorial I show you in a very simple way how you can variety and develop a motive. You can do this either with the rhythm, the melody or combinations of it. Creative Blues Guitar Motives - Rhythm and Melody Here you find some exercises where you see how you can make variations on a simple blues guitar motive. This one is in the key of A and is based on the A minor pentatonic. In the first part are some rhythm variations. It's is strongly recommended that you also make some studies on rhythm notation if you don't know it till now : In the 2nd part I make some varations on the melody but keep the rhythm motive. And in the 3rd part I make the motive and add any other motive as an awser but will refering to the original motive. Well you know - a lot of students have to work hard to achieve results and at the end of the day it is the work you invest into your guitar playing is what brings results. I have choosen those which were written in the realbook. The backing track is only drum and bass so you can also take alternative chords. The tempo is only 120 bpm so that you can practice this tune in peace. Professional normaly play this tune with 240 bpm but it also sounds nice with 120 bpm. My mom passed away in peace on June 15th. Her wish was that I play a piano concert at her funeral and so I did. I played the colors of my mom. The funeral was on July 8th in the church in Bubikon ( Switzerland ) and the concert describs how my mom was and honors what she did for me. Thank you mom
