Hey Ot, thanks for your nice words. Which was the tutorial you found the other morning ? Was it the Autumne Leaves one ? Yes that ons is really nice and you can approach it with little knowledge of jazz or a lot of knowledge of jazz. I love that you use the guitar practice as a meditation practice. It's the same for me - and that's the right approach which helps a lot to connect many things and also to the guitar. Thats a good thing that you mention that. I could do a tutorial on that subject again. And cool that you started guitar in a bit " higher " age. In music there are no restrictions - so go for it.

Street Blues Guitar Studies - Tabs & Audio File Here you find one chorus of a blues in A played only with one guitar and no backing track. This is the type of blues a street musician would play with one guitar. It works that you play an entry lick and then the rhythm guitar by following the form of this standard blues. First the entry lick is played in 8th's, then tripplets and then 6-toles. Later you can replace the entry licks by your own creation. The audio is showing how this version sounds like. This is a cool slow blues guitar original which goes a bit along with the " From Dusk Till Dawn " vibe. The picture you can see is a church in North Italy which I saw during my summer travels 2022. It is also featured in the netflix series " Curon ". Somebody said it has a Link Wray influence and in fact it is true. Today I said to one of my students that I would call this genre either " Gothic Surf Sound " or " Dark Surf Sound " - so then it makes totaly sense. The tempo of the song is what makes it so special. I noticed on many recordings of other artists that the magic of a song often comes from the tempo of the song. A good example is " Loves Theme " by Barry White. Only the studio recording has that magic of that song which made it so famous. You can check it out. So my focus is often also on the tempo of a song.

Slow Drop D Ghost Blues - Tabs & Backing Track This is a great straight slow blues track which you have to play with a Drop D tuning. To create a ghosty blues guitar sound I recommend that you add a tremolo and delay effect to your guitar sound. On the delay sound I strongly recommend kind of a tape or analog delay sound setting. The backing track is only drum and bass. These files are associated to this tutorial here :Free -
