There is a new department available in the HPCrazy Guitar Academy : Guitar Beginners If you are a Guitar Beginner - then this is the part which brings you step by step with a various set of exercises to an intermediate guitar playing level. The first 6 - 12 months are hard for any guitar beginner because there are many things which have to be repeated all the time till one is able to perform them on the guitar. These exercises are meant to keep you motivated even if you need to repeat many things over and over again. https://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/members/forum/1-guitar-beginners/

  10. There was a mistake on one chord - download the latest version. It's fixed now.
  11. Perfect..thanks HP….downloaded and printed for tomorrow’s practice session. Regards Greg
  12. That's a good point Greg. I added them now - but they are not complete because not all notes in the exercises can be displayed as a chordshape but I guess this one helps. Any yeah - great that you are already on it since one year. Me even longer - a regular warmup exercise for me.
  13. Hi HP I have been working on these Arpeggios for over a year now and I agree that the diminished arpeggio is the most difficult…not too smooth yet but I consistently work at each of these arpeggios and include this file in my daily practice routine. Personal request: I was wondering if you would be kind enough to add the chord shapes to this download. As a relative newby to Jazz, my senior memory for the progressive shapes is significantly less than perfect and I believe this addition would be very helpful in my efforts. Kind regards Greg

  15. Yes one can learn a lot from Autumn Leaves even the tune is quite overplayed
  16. This is one more step on my personal learning curve: Use Major Pentatonic and Mixolydian Mode for your Blues. Incorporate cool licks and mix everything into cool rhythm patterns. Now I'm going to have a word with my fingers so that they never forget that again. Thank you Hanspeter.
  17. Here I show you some very useful exercises for jazz guitar improvisation. The tips and tricks are adapted to the chords of the first part of the tune " Autumn Leaves " which is a very common chord progression in jazz. Here you can download the files associated to this tutorial :

  22. Guitar Beginners I will start a new series of tutorials now. I want to guide the total guitar beginners through the first really hard 6-12 months of learning guitar. The point is - when you start with guitar there is not much you can do till you have the technical abilities to grab chords - specially the barré chords, to play some lead guitar with simple melodies and to do your first bendings, the first vibrato's and and and.... This phase can be really frustrating because things take time and you can not make any shortcuts. But my job as an instructor is to keep you guys motivated in this time and still get you a creative and fun vibes into your beginner steps on guitar. My system is different then the regular ones and it works. I got many feedbacks from beginner students over many years. In these tutorials I will also show everything slow and very precise. The will come with the title index " Guitar Beginners - ..... " and will be also marked with this tag here in the search tags. Guitar Beginners For guidance during your process in those first 6-12 months I strongly recommend that you use the blog feature where you can write about your experience and your difficulties in order to get some professional advice.
