The Future of Guitar is Three-Dimensional The Architecture of Sound: Mastering Solo Guitar in Dolby Atmos Anyone who has tried to mix a solo guitar in the immersive realm of Dolby Atmos knows the struggle: the sound often loses its "punch," becomes "muddy," or feels lost in an artificial space. In many cases, the raw emotion and the sharp attack of the instrument simply vanish when moved into a 3D environment. In this video, I demonstrate my newly developed method for translating the soul of a guitar into immersive space—without sacrificing the precision and warmth of the analog original. A New Standard in Immersive Production Using a PRS Private Stock as the reference, …

Feel The Space ( Blues Guitar Duo in Dolby Atmos )Guitar Dolby Atmos Showcase: Country Blues Duo Experience a unique blues guitar duo recording featuring my PRS Private Stock Chesapeake Bay. This session was specifically designed for a Dolby Atmos environment to showcase the extraordinary harmonic richness of this instrument. As you listen, you will notice how the overtones of this rare guitar develop within a meticulously crafted sonic space. I have engineered a natural asymmetric room for this recording—closely emulating the world-class acoustics of legendary venues like the KKL in Lucerne. The combination of a Fender Vibro King amp and this high-end guitar captures eve…

Breaking the Stereo Prison: The Future of Immersive Binaural GuitarHave you ever wondered why a solo guitar or a piano sounds so much "larger" and more "alive" when you sit in the same room, compared to even the best studio recordings? The Problem: The Two-Dimensional WallTraditional stereo recordings compress the vastness of sound into a flat, two-dimensional plane between two speakers. Especially for solo instrument recordings, this creates a sonic dilemma: the reverb and natural reflections have to fight for the same space as the direct signal. The result often feels narrow, crowded, and loses the "breath" of the original performance. The Solution: 3D Audio Architectur…

Today I tried my brand new guitar sounds together with the current new slow blues backing track I produced ( https://www.music-pictures.com ) and I played some blue ( Farbmusik ) blues guitar with Dr. Pink. Finding the right guitar sounds is kind of a search for the holy grail. You might want to read my article about that topic here : If you love this song and give it a try yourself you can download the backing track here :

Inspired by Matteo Mancuso's great fingerstyle technique I got encouraged to work more on my personal fingerstyle technique. I always felt that I have a better touch for the strings when I was playing fingerstyle guitar but I thought it's now possible to reach a certain level in your playing abilities without using a pic. Matteo Mancuso in fact was a great inspiration to start working more on my fingerstyle technique even though my goal is not speed but having the total tonal and inspiration control over my playing. I have been working over a year to get my technique ready and this is now my first recording. It's not flashy but I love the relaxed and chilling vibe I could…

This is now a first jazz guitar recording. This is a spontanious improvisation ( sight reading ) to the tune " On The Sunny Side Of The Street ". I wanted the tune to sound sweet and groovy. Even I did the improvisation with sight reading I am quite happy with the result because it sounds fresh and curious. I liked to do this slight " detune " effect with bendings on the highlighted notes of the melody.

Here I recorded a spontaneous take after the videoshoot of the minor blues guitar tutorial. I wanted to get a puristic approach to minor blues and relating to Peter Greens style back from the 60's with a strong spring reverb effect and no additional effects. I have used a Vibra King amp with a 2*12 cabinet with an off-axis microphone setting, a large spring reverb with a mix level of 25% and a dunlop cry baby. I began the recording with finger picking and in the 3rd chorus I switched to normal pic technique. The great thing with puristic recordings is that these details in fact matter. But check it out yourself If you want to check the tutorial you'll find it here …

Here I composed a cinematic blues rock original which also falls into the Farbmusik genre. It's a dark red. The task was to get a hypnotic sound with one guitar riff and to build up the whole tune and add one element after each other. You can hear 4 guitars in the stereo field. One has a swampy tremolo effect and the other 2 guitars have a creamy distortion which fits to the drop D tuning the guitars are using. The lead guitar is a sound where I use some really wide multidelays to create such a wide sound. The task is to play the lead guitar really precise because there are so many delay effects on it. On the FX section you here gunshots in the background which go al…

I want to share this recording I did a few days ago. This was a spontanious improvisation after recording a jazz guitar tutorial with the backing track I created for that tutorial : The special thing of this recording is that I have been working for many months on a new jazz guitar style in my process of redefining my way of making music and improvising. I originaly studied jazz guitar but through my many years being an online instructor I have be drawn much into blues and rock guitar because these are the popular genres. I felt now that I want to bring more jazz vibes into my guitar style in performances and I feel like I found my new style a bit. It's a combination fr…

I recorded this video directly after the video shooting to the tutorial below. On this day there was a Pluto, Mars and Venus conjunction which is very intense and transformativ. Pluto the planet of transformation offered me an opportunity to now create a band which is willing to play my guitar music ( Venus ) and Mars can be associated with rock or blues rock music. We will see if this band will formate and take these recordings to a next level. Here you find the tutorial associated to this tune :

This is a cool and laid back version of Stevie Wonders " Isn't She Lovely " played on the nylon guitar. I recorded this version direct after the video shooting of the tutorial and beside many possibilities of the vibe of the improvisation I decided to go for the extremly laid back and cool type of improvisation. In my view less notes often sound like more music then too many notes. The nylon guitar has such a nice sound when you want to rest just in one note and enjoy that one note. That's why I picked the nylon guitar. If you love this version - here's a tutorial :

This is a cinematic rock guitar tune which I recorded spontanious right after the shooting to this tutorial here : I really love all types of cinematic rock guitar sounds but they only work with a lot of delay effects - so the playing has to be melodic and precise. I will work this tune more out I guess because I love the vibe of this song a lot.
