Doing 10 finger tapping on only 6 strings is really challenge because there is not much space left and you always need to check which strings are free. But the big disadvantage of the 7 string is in fact the tone control is not so good like on 6 strings. An other thought - I love doing scatting but the range of my voice does not work so well on the regular open string keys - but B minor is just great and works. So I will give a try there. Composing - Live Playing I am checking Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malsteen and other players at the moment to get some inspriation for own songs or playings. Today I came to the finding that I would love to do instrumental cinematic guitar music. That would combine the best of 2 worlds - guitar sounds and cinematic sounds. Main problem I currently have is in fact my time schedules to arrange and compose the music for that. But I will send it into my creative channels and see how it evolves. 9. What A Wonderful World - Guitar Lesson This is an arrangement which I wrote for the song " What a wonderful world " by Louis Armstrong ". This version is set on a voice-leading with only 3 voices which is a bit unusual for jazz guitar arrangements. I wanted to do it this way for 2 reasons. 1. I love this open spaced sound and with the guitar chord voicings I have chosen you can also add a bluesy vibe to by adding vibrato's on the chords. 2. It's a really simple to play version so that intermediate guitar players also have a chance to master this classic tune which everybody should have played once. Here you can download the tabs related to this tutorial here : If you need any further professional support please book a private online guitar lesson here : https://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/members/store/category/1-private-online-guitar-lessons/

  11. Hey Roland, yeah I bet you love these chords here. Somehow easy to play but still there are some challenges in it.
  12. I am currently working a lot on open string chord progressions where I keep one open or more open strings as a pedal point in a compositon or a chord progression inside a composition. This one note which always rings through the progression is giving the whole sound a pedal like sound such as you might know from the piano and also gives it a mystical and lyric vibe. Here is a small example of a chord progression I am working on. It's in Am and goes through the chords Am9 / Fmaj7#11 / Dm6/11 / Cadd9 G6/B E |--------------0-----------------------0-------------| B |-----------0-----0-----------------0-----0----------| G |--------12----------12----------12----------12------| D |-----10----------------10----10----------------10---| A |--12----------------------12------------------------| E |----------------------------------------------------| --------------0-----------------------0-------------| -----------0-----0-----------------0-----0----------| --------9-----------9-----------9-----------9-------| -----7-----------------7-----7-----------------7----| --8-----------------------8-------------------------| ----------------------------------------------------| --------------0-----------------------0-------------| -----------0-----0-----------------0-----0----------| --------5-----------5-----------5-----------5-------| -----3-----------------3-----3-----------------3----| --5-----------------------5-------------------------| ----------------------------------------------------| --------------0-----------------------0-------------|| -----------3-----3-----------------3-----3----------|| --------0-----------0-----------0-----------0-------|| -----2-----------------2-----0-----------------0----|| --3-----------------------2-------------------------|| ----------------------------------------------------||

    There were some problems with the band since the bassplayer didn't feel confident to play in a trio and he did not like blues rock and rock when I really asked him to give me an honest anwser. So the band unfortunately disolved some time ago. But I contacted Mario if we should not give it another try and he would love to do so and he ask an other bassplayer which currently works with the Swiss Jimi Hendrix clone Asep Stone and he would love to join the band. So we are planing to make our first rehersal in Nov. Here you can listen to the bass player.
