  1. Hey guys, a bit late but finaly here is the Feb 26 newsletter. I have been very busy in January with finalizing the works on my digital presence. The backing track is out of my own production line. Emotional Smooth Jazz Guitar : Here I give you tips and tricks on how to play some emotional smooth jazz guitar. It's not about shredding or playing many notes, it's about playing the right notes and listening to the music you can play with.   11. Am 17. Jan 2026 habe ich einen Gitarrenworkshop für Anfänger und Wiedereinsteiger in Zürich geleitet. Dieser war in Kooperation mit Musik Hug und Match Space Music. Ziel des Workshops war es, Anfänger und Wiedereinsteiger innert 45 Min. zu motivieren, die Reise zusammen mit der Gitarre anzutreten. Die Kosten für jeden Workshop Teilnehmer waren 20 CHF und Musik Hug stellt die Gitarren kostenlos zur Verfügung. Die Veranstaltung wurde von Match Space Music unterstützt, die auf ihr Unterrichtsangebot aufmerksam machten. Die Schwierigkeit war natürlich, dass nicht alle Workshopteilnehmer das gleiche Spielniveau und die gleich schnelle Auffassungsgabe haben würden. Mein Ziel war es aber, dass am Schluss der 45 Minuten alle Workshopteilnehmern zusammen mit einem extra für diesen Event produzierten Backing Track spielen konnten. Ich entschied mich für einen midtempo binären Track mit E5 / E5 / A5 / A5. Die Teilnehmer konnten wählen ob sie mit einem Plektrum oder mit Fingerpicking spielen wollten. Alle Teilnehmen sollten die Griffe Em und Aadd9 lernen und gleich anwenden. Diese 2 Griffe sind die einfachsten Griffe und bereiten auch kompletten Gitarrenanfängern kaum Schwierigkeiten. Ziel war es ganz einfache Rhythmus Muster zu spielen, zusammen mit dem takgebenden Fuss zu synchronisieren und letztlich dies auch mit dem Backing Track zu synchronisieren. Am Anfang übten wir die einzelnen sehr einfachen Muster und ab dann war jeder frei das Muster zu spielen welches man wollte und als Abschluss des Workshops dürfte jeder Teilnehmen zum Backing Track mit den gelernten Mustern improvisieren und nach der eigenen Performance weitergeben, so dass ein interaktives Zusammenspiel entstand. Dies gelang zu 100 %. Der Kern des Workshops war gleich zu Beginn Musik zu machen und ein Zusammenspiel zu schaffen. Dieses Ziel wurde erreicht.

  13. Durch einen Notfall im Janauar 2026 bin ich als Ersatz Organist / Pianist für die Kath. Kirche Maur Egg am Piano eingesprungen. Ich hatte nur wenige Tage Zeit das Repertoire für Piano zu arrangieren und zu studieren aber die Struktur der Kath. Messen hat mir auch erlaubt eigene Instrumentals zu spielen. Da habe ich Auszüge aus meinem Farbmusik Konzert Program gespielt. Hier sehen wir einen Eindruck aus der Kapelle Forch wo ein wunderbarer Konzertflügel zur Verfügung steht. Die Feedbacks waren so positiv, dass man mich nun auf die Organisten / Pianisten Liste gesetzt hat und weitere Einsätze in der Zukunft kommen werden. Für mich war es auch eine wunderbare Erfahrung in so einem Rahmen auch meine Stücke in einem würdigen Rahmen zu präsentieren. Umso mehr freut es mich, dass dies so überwältigend gut angekommen ist. Es ist auch in der Zukunft denkbar, dass auch Einsätze am Piano, Orgel und Gitarre kommen.

I always try to make the tabs as useful as possible for the learning process but depending on the lesson it sometimes does not makes sense to write everything down. That's a bit my teaching style. It's mostly more to understand the concept. And this lesson here is really old and there I didn't make as much tabs as in todays lesssons. But I take your request into consideration and see what I can do. 😊
