This is the first of many tutorials to come where you can take your step from an intermediate blues guitar player to a solid intermediate smooth jazz guitar player. Here you can download the files associated to this tutorial :

This course will guide you through the basics you need to know about playing smooth jazz guitar. This includes the theoretical knowledge of modes and how to use them in a smooth jazz environment in combination with regular improvisation techniques and ideas with pentatonics. Even pentatonics work in smooth jazz the modes are also needed to get the vibe of smooth jazz. Rhythm and rhythm studies are also part of this course which are essential to play a proper smooth jazz guitar. In order to follow this course here you need to be an intermediate player who at least fullfilled the requierements of the intermediate blues guitar course since blue and smooth jazz have a very similar improvisation concept with motives and developing motive driven solo and improvisation ideas. It is recommended that you already know the theory about modes but you can also follow this course without this knowledge and learn to work with modes by doing these exercises which are posted here. Nach langem Ueberlegen haben ich beschlossen ab sofort wieder wesentlich mehr Zeit in die Weiterentwicklung der Farbmusik zu geben. Der Fokus soll dabei wieder zurück gehen zu dem ursprünglichen Konzept der musikalischen Darstellung von Farb mit Kompositionen und Improvisationskonzepten an der Gitarre und dem Piano. Die letzten 3-4 Jahre waren die Farbmusik Konzerte und Neuproduktion im Wesentlichen auf Piano Solo Stücke in 432 Hz ausgelegt. Das hatte verschiedene Gründe - die ausschlaggebenden Gründe waren aber der grosse Erfolg einer CD mit über 600000 Streams / Monat über eine sehr langen Zeitraum. https://orcd.co/8rjxm2e Der andere Grund, war dass das umfassende Konzept sehr aufwendig ist und es boten sich immer wieder andere Möglichkeiten an die Farbmusik entsprechend kommerziell und kreativ einzusetzen. Im Zuge der Entwicklungen von AI auch in Bereich der Musikkomposition macht es allerdings Sinn andere Wege zu gehen, welche sich von den üblichen Genres und üblichen Einteilungen von Musik unterscheiden. AI ist nicht in der Lage Musik nach Farbe zu klassifizieren, geschweige denn zu produzieren, weil die Umsetzung von Farb in Musik im Wesentlichen eine emotionale Angelegenheit ist. Der andere Aspekt wird sein, dass die Gitarre wieder umfassender in die Farbmusik integriert wird. Der Aufwand für die Produktion und Improvisaiton von Farbe auf der Gitarre ist wohl wesentlich grösser, aber dafür ist auch der Wiedererkennungswert viel grösser, währenddem Pianoimprovisation sehr an Interpreten wie Keith Jarett, Ludovico Einaudi, Schuhmann oder andere leichte klassische Pianisten erinnert. Es werden nun auch wieder moderne Sounds eingesetzt, was eigentlich zu Beginn der Farbmusik um 2007 herum ein grosses Erfolgskonzept war, was auch ein jüngeres Publikum begeistern konnte. Dazu werde ich meine Erfahrung als Komponist für TV, Filme und andere mulitmedia Anwendung einfliessen lassen und mit den oben genannten Konzepten koordinieren. Ich sehe in diesem Konzept eine sehr gute Möglichkeit in einen Feld mit AI dominierte Musikproduktion bestehen zu können. In fact yes - I have been on the road in professional internet business since 2003 and I can tell it was a mistake to go to social media. These days they do what they want and it makes no sense to invest too much time into these platforms anymore. I am really glad I started to go back to my platform back in 2019. The traffic is still not too high but at least the work I am doing here for you guys is sustainable.

I want to make an update on my experience with Tik Tok - and this experience prooves that I am right to set all my energy on my own plattform : The first months on Tik Tok I got like 1000 - 10000 views on my uploads with hardly any subscribers. So I thought I am doing something right and I just continued. But now out of the nowhere the alogerithm has changed. I get more subscribers but hardly any views on uploads anymore. The numbers are now around 30 - 50 views for similar content which I did before. Even Tik Tok is a popular plattform this incident prooves that one wasts the time to get a strategy on any plattform because if the company decides to change the alogerithm they don't ask you and all your work was for nothing.

I want to share this recording I did a few days ago. This was a spontanious improvisation after recording a jazz guitar tutorial with the backing track I created for that tutorial : The special thing of this recording is that I have been working for many months on a new jazz guitar style in my process of redefining my way of making music and improvising. I originaly studied jazz guitar but through my many years being an online instructor I have be drawn much into blues and rock guitar because these are the popular genres. I felt now that I want to bring more jazz vibes into my guitar style in performances and I feel like I found my new style a bit. It's a combination from the great styles of Miles Davis, George Benson and Thelonious Monk. In this improvisation I could break free from concepts, patterns and licks and just go for a sponatious creation of jazz - that's the reason why I enjoy this recording so much and there will be more to come.
