Almost a month into 2024 update!
That's in fact the main part which should be on the focus once starting to work with modes. It's not the scales, runs or arpeggio's. It's hearing the notes in a mode during the improvisation.

Here you find a cool straight blues guitar riff in the key of E. But it's not really the key - since the chords are E7 / D7 / A7 / B7alt. So you mix the solo with mixolydian ideas and E minor blues pentatonic to make it sound great. I wrote one example how you can mix the modes and create a great and rich sound with only a few notes. The backing track is an original of mine. These files are associated to this tutorial :Free -

Starting Guitar - Complete Course
Starting Guitar This course here is the starting point for all guitar players who want to start guitar and they enter a guitar lesson with no experience. This one tutorial is the one which you first should pay attention to. Here you can learn all you need to learn in the first 3 – 6 months of your journey when you are starting the guitar. From my experience as a guitar tutor and guitar instructor since 1999 it always turned to be those topics I am talking about here. The threshold to go further is the barréchord. That one is the tricky part which can make the first steps harder and longer time to get stuck in the beginners phase. The good news is with regular practicing you can really make it in 3 months. I experienced this myself when I started the guitar at the age of 20. So i pretty much remember those steps. Be patient and just practice regular and suddely those things I am showing here work out for you and you are ready to get to the next level of guitarplaying. If you want to make sure that you are practicing right please open up your blog and share your practicing routines. Here you can download the basic chords which I am talking about in the tutorial : To learn the pentatonics you might want to work on the pentatonic patterns. I would start with pattern 1 as you can see in these files here but the main problem is the flexibilty of your fingers. This will take some time - so you can use this time to already work on all pentatonic patterns. This will work on the same problem you are facing as a beginner. You can also work either on the the minor or on the major pentatonics. I strongly recommend that while you learn your pentatonic patterns you start to learn the intervals which you can see in these patterns. As a beginner you only need to know where the root note of each pattern is. The root note is marked with a " 1 " You are ready as soon as you can play the basic chords with basic strumming fluently. This will take as mentioned approx. 3 months if you practice them 3 times daily ( at least 5-10 Min ) and as soon you can include the barré chord fluently with basic strumming you are ready to go into the direction which you want. The pentatonic patterns should be played in 8ths fluently with alternate picking like with 80 bpm and you should always know where the root note is. Then you can start with more creative playing and start working on the genre which you would like to learn. Next step would be now to start checking tutorials which are marked with " easy " : blues guitar easy rock guitar easy easy jazz guitar A really great spot is to start with blues because most modern music finds it's root in blues. All improvisation concepts in other genres are in fact coming from blues. I would recommend to really go through the Basic Blues Guitar tutorial : --------------------------- If you need any help you can open up your blog and write about your guitar journey or you can book a private online lesson to make sure you learned everything right !

Farbmusik Konzept 2024
This video is in german but I translate the text here for you : ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here I explain the concept of color music in detail. It is based on therapy concepts from kinesiology or regulative diagnostics according to Dr. Klinghardt. Guitar Courses & Guitar Diploma
The next level of professional education are the guitar courses which I started to write now. For any level from intermediate to advanced till professional there will be awards of even a diploma available. The reason for the courses is to canalize all the information and tutorials which are available to some goals which you might want to achieve and to help you guys to give you some direction in what you want to work on. Here you find the summary of the courses which are currently available : https://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/members/forum/84-courses/ Anybody who wants to do the test after working on the course can achieve an award or a diploma which will be displayed permanently in the personal profile. Here you see the award of the blues intermediate course. The awards will continue till the level of advanced. If you are going for the diploma you will get a signed diploma with your name on it. Here you find the requirements for the diploma as I wrote them back in 2019 - I will soon make some current updates : HPCrazy Guitar Diploma If you are really totally into guitar playing and you want to learn my philosophy and perception of it you can study guitar with private lessons either online or in my studio in Egg ( Switzerland ). I will only give this diploma to somebody who reaches a total connection to music and the guitar with an individual emotional expression. Study Guitar with HPCrazy If you wish to study guitar, music and personal musical self-expression very intensively over a freely chosen period of time, I have been offering you an individualized and part-time form of guitar study since 2013. The individual support takes place here in an intensive exchange and personalized form of instruction both in Studio Egg, but can also be completed or combined with private online lessons. Before the course of study begins, the learning objective is defined in an interview and the weekly lessons required for this. If desired, a final examination can be taken on the desired and developed topics. The grading is done according to university standards, whereby the highest grade corresponds to a perfect accomplishment of the chosen task. It is also possible to get a certificate of achievement in the form of a confirmation for the completion of the studies and if desired the corresponding achievements from the examinations from me. If someone wants to reach my HPCrazy diploma the following guidelines apply: 1. at least 2 parts (see list below - rhythm and harmony are compulsory subjects) incl. examination and a grade of at least 4.0 ( from 1 - 6 ) 2. mature artistic expression on the instrument. This must be shown to live audiences in the form of a self-organised concert. The minimum grade to pass is 5.0. 3. the concert organization as well as the online presence must be developed and implemented by the student himself. This includes a professional social media strategy on all platforms and the publication of at least 1 CD on all online platforms. The assessments of the tests are strict. The top score of 6 corresponds to perfect performance in the chosen topic. The focus of the live performance is on the aspect whether a concert program can lead an audience through the evening, shows an own artistic mature expression, is innovative in its kind and whether the guitar plays a leading role. The HPCrazy diploma is above all a guitar diploma which fulfills highest standards. Theory subjects play only a supporting role apart from the above-mentioned compulsory subjects. Recognition of the diploma : My version of a guitar diploma does not correspond to the Bologna Bachelor - Master System and focuses on artistic guitaristic expression. Here are my references as a lecturer. 1. 1999 - 2005 various mandates in Swiss music academies. 2nd SMPV (Schweizerischer Musikpädagogischer Verband) Accreditation 1999 - 2007 for private university education and SMPV consulting and lecturing. 3rd featured online instructor at guitartricks.com ( 2006 - 2012 ), featured online instructor at Gibson.com ( 2007) with over 80000 students online. 4. leading a successful guitar channel on YouTube under the name HPCrazy. Details about studying guitar Conditions : Anyone who has the time, the motivation and the unconditional will to achieve an ambitious goal and to work intensively with music and the guitar over a period of at least 6 - 12 months is admitted. The entry level does not matter, but in principle a study only makes sense after about 3 years of an already intensive examination of the guitar. Classification : Before the beginning of the study a student is classified and examined. This happens through a conversation, where the goals, the temporal possibilities and the guitar playing and the musical knowledge are examined by me and the desired goal is estimated under consideration of the temporal possibilities. A solution and a concept are discussed and worked out together. Concept : In the weekly lessons one lesson is intended for guitar lessons and another for the extended topics (see list below). Further weekly lessons ( at least 1 ) will be taken according to your wishes and conceptual plan. The concept of the study is very individual and is subordinated to the goal defined in the classification. The application of the various possible topics is selected according to the objective and divided in the weekly plan. Goals can also be changed during the course of study and the lesson plan adapted accordingly. But as a teacher, I insist on a certain willingness to persevere in my studies. Themes : For the study at least 2 topics must be chosen and taken in the weekly lessons. List of themes : Guitar lessons and instrumental technique ( every modern guitar technique incl. Touch Technique) Sound & Equipment ( also learning modern music software ) Piano ( as 2nd instrument - best suited for arrangement and composition) Harmony ( modern + classical) Rhythm Aural training Solfége Composition ( incl. work with modern software) Arrangement Songwriting Creatifity Artistic expression Musical self-perception Music business Modern media Styles Blues Rock Pop Jazz Latin Funk Fusion Flamenco Jazz New Age Acoustic Electronic ( Lounge, Chillout, House, EDM, Dubstep ect. )
