Hey guys, here is now the newsletter of the month September 25. Over the past two months, a lot of work has been done behind the scenes. The goal was to create a network of websites for all my current and past services, with this website serving as the central hub. Here you find the exact settings of the Joe Satriani Lead Guitar Sound which I have recreated on my Fractal Audio FX III device. It works on all fractal audio devices. Fractal Audio FX III Settings for Joe Satriani Sound1. Amp BlockAmp Model: Plexi 100W Normal or JCM800 (Satriani used Marshall Plexi/JCM800). Settings: Drive: 4–5 (moderate gain for sustain). Bass: 3–4 (warm low end). Mid: 6–8 (emphasizes melody). Treble: 5–6 (clear, not harsh). Presence: 4–5 (airiness). Master Volume: 5–6 (tube saturation). Output Level: 0 dB. Bright Switch: On (if available, for clarity). Input Trim: 0.8–1 (slightly reduced gain). 2. Cabinet BlockCab Model: 4x12 Marshall V30 or 4x12 Greenback. Settings: Mic: SM57 (punch) or R121 (warmth), On-Axis. Distance: 2–3 inches. Low Cut: 80–100 Hz. High Cut: 5–6 kHz. Room Level: 0–5% (minimal, reverb comes later). 3. Drive BlockDrive Model: Super OD (similar to Boss SD-1, Satriani-style). Settings: Drive: 2–3 (subtle boost). Tone: 5–6 (mid-focused). Level: 6–7 (lifts guitar in mix). Mix: 100%. Bass: 3–4. Treble: 5–6. Placement: Before Amp Block. 4. Reverb Block (for Tutorial/CD, Immersive)Reverb Model: Large Hall or Church. Settings: Decay: 2–2.5 seconds (for psychoacoustic immersion). Mix: 15–25%. Pre-Delay: 20–30 ms. High Cut: 4–6 kHz. Early Reflections: 30–40%. Modulation: Rate 0.1–0.3 Hz, Depth 10–20%. Placement: After Delay Block. 5. Delay Block (Multidelay)Delay Model: Plex Delay (for multitap, Satriani-style). Settings: Time: 300–400 ms (BPM-synced, quarter or dotted eighth at ~120 BPM). Feedback: 15–25% (3–4 repeats per tap). Mix: 15–20%. Tap Levels: Tap 1: 100% (main delay). Tap 2: 70% (Time +100 ms). Tap 3: 50% (Time +200 ms). Tap 4–6: Optional, 20–30%. High Cut: 5–6 kHz. Modulation: Rate 0.1 Hz, Depth 10–15%. Settings: 80–100 Hz: +2–3 dB (warmth). 200–300 Hz: -2–3 dB (avoids muddiness). 2–3 kHz: +2–4 dB (melody boost). 5–6 kHz: +1–2 dB (clarity). Placement: After Cab Block.
