  1. In this tutorial I show you 7 easy rock guitar licks which from my personal view are the most important rock guitar licks which you need to know to get comfortable in any rock lead guitar situation. They are shown in the key of Am in the 1st position of the minor pentatonics. This tutorial is a must have for any rock guitar player. 2. At the moment I'm working a lot on "jazz guitar" - my goal is to combine a fusion of traditional jazz guitar in the style of Kenny Burell, for example, with the funky style of George Benson but with a bluesy / rocking expressive tone of Scott Henderson, for example. Is a lot of work for the fact that jazz is not necessarily a popular genre. Anyway, the goal is to present such a program to my community at my Guitar Night on Sept 22 ( online ). Plus influences and sections with Stanley Jordan and Joe Pass style. More to come soon...
  3. This tutorial will come soon - for all Fans of Jazz Guitar and Kenny Burell.

  7. I am currently doing a lot of technique exercises with Mrs. Blue. This guitar has really some much more dynamic possibilities in the expression of the pure sound then any other guitar I experienced in my professional career and this opens up a world which I always wanted to explore. I always used a lot of delay effects in my guitar sounds in order to make the sound more rich and wide but with this guitar I want to put it first to it's pure sound and so I am doing mainly exercises and practice work with a simple Fender Deluxe amp with a 2*12 cabinet and spring reverb. I studied jazz guitar but somehow in my professional life I drifted away to blues and rock and I must say that my guitar soul is in blues and rock guitar but I also loved jazz a lot. But what I always thought is that the typical jazz guitar sound lacks in emotional deepness as you would find in blues. So I want to make my jazz guitar style get this really bluesy vibe but with jazz material. There are some guys who play jazz in a blues fashion by adding blues licks and blues lines. But I would like to have jazz lines but with the emotional touch of typical blues guitar. And that's what I am currently working on a lot. The great thing is that I think with this guitar I will get where I always wanted to be in jazz guitar. My goal is to present the first results of my work on the guitar night of the 22th of Sept. - so if you are interested save the date and tune into the livestream then.

  13. Here you can learn all you need to know about arpeggios. What they are, where they come from and how to use them the easy way in the first part. In the 2nd more insane part you learn some patterns and tricks to really work out arpeggio's the crazy and insane way. The 2nd part is also for those who just want to get to know the notes of the arpeggio's. You don't need to take the exercises to speed. In the last part I talk about how to use the patterns with sweep picking technique. This tutorial is a " MUST HAVE " for all players who want to take their playing to the next level. Here you find the exercises which are associated to this tutorial :
  14. These arpeggio exercises are currently in my daily practice routine. I play the full program every day which takes me like 45 minutes and then I go for the mode exercises which I practice with different types of picking technique which are circle picking and tremolo picking on different speeds. This takes another 45 minutes of my daily practice work.
  15. View File Arpeggio Bootcamp Here you find a whole series of arpeggio exercises which represent all you can do if you want to enter the world of arpeggio's used as a tool in your soloing. These exercises are extremely demanding so I strongly recommend that you plan a few months of practice work for them. Even they seem to be very hard I recommend these exercises also for intermediate players because with these exercises you also learn where the chord notes of a specific chord all are which helps you a lot in your slow hand solo where you want to figure out the target notes which in fact are the notes from the arpeggio's. The exercises are showing you the diatonic triads of A, E and C type chords. Also crosscheck these exercises with your exercises of modes. The modes exercises are in the shape of the A and E type chords At the end you find the same arpeggio's with sweep picking technique which I only recommend for advanced players if you want to go for speed. They take a lot of practice work and are only recommended when you play guitar on a daily basis. Submitter admin Submitted 08/07/2023 Category Theory & Exercises

  16. Checking the stats of the current tutorial " Old Love ( Eric Clapton ) makes me really happy. For once I hit one again which goes a bit viral. Already on 2.8K views after less then 24 hours. It has been a while since I had such a video.... :-) You are not seeing the acutall numbers - that one is only visible in the YouTube analyics. It looks like this tutorial has been posted somewhere in a larger guitar community which creates all these views. Lets see how long it will last.
