Nov 09 blog There has been some time since my last blog - entry. I have been very busy and met many people to develope my projects. So here are the results : Farbmusik.com My german website related to colors & music is now more or less finished. I have builded this website up during the discussion with my manager. We wanted to work out a full professional setting since my " farbmusik " has a lot of potential. But unfortunately it turned out, that my manager did not support my vision and he wanted to have exclusiv - rights. So I had to end up this cooperation. After all difficulties I went through during this year I think it is the best to stay on the line and just look for people who have a similar feeling and vision for projects. Everything else does not work in a artistic cooperation. So from now on I will select people who I want to work with very carfull and check if this really works without bigger discussions. So since the website http://www.farbmusik.com is now finished I will have a first interview tomorrow. It seems like people from different interest areas ( TV, movie, health, meditation, theraphy, wellness, liveperformances, events ... ) are very much interested in my " farbmusik " which is actually great. But it is not that easy that you get missunderstood as an artist and performer. Many people think it is meant in an esoteric way - but it is not. I will see what will happen and if this will cause more attention and more interviews. So since everything is finished I can not do more then keep it going and follow the reactions of the people. New CD Now I will finish my CD which I have been working on. I hope it will be finished till the end of the year. Acutally I have enough recordings for one CD but I what to get a clean concept on the CD so it might take some more time and of course I want to have more guitars on my recordings. This is the harder part to record some cool and great guitartracks. I have to be in top shape for that. New contract for my music I have got 7 more tracks under contract by a musiclibrary in Houton TX. Outlook I have been doing a lot of project work in the past months and had no free minute for myself. Now since I am finished I will keep things with teaching, performing and recording going on a normal level and now take care of my personal life which I did not do since july. This has now first priority - so it might stay quite with new flashlights for a while.

Lesson of the month The current lesson of the month is about the great playing style of Johnny Winter. He is a blues rock slide guitar player. YouTube Link I show you the essentionals of blues rock slide guitar, the techniques, the style on the example of Johnny Winters song " Highway 61 " + a professional backing track. Get the lesson Free " Blues Rock " lesson Here's a cool video where I show you some great ideas which are played with a tuned down guitar. Get the free lesson

Download Here's a cool video where I show you some great ideas which are played with a tuned down guitar. The tuning is : D G C F A D Play this kind of style with open strings and fingerpicking. This will give you the best results. And by the way ... just got out of my bed and recorded this video for you.

During my preparations for my concert of the 31.10. I needed to take a break in practicing my songs and relaxed a bit with my blue jazz jacket by playing one of my very favorite jazzstandards " Misty " . A lot of people do not really know I acutally studied jazzguitar as well and I play jazz a lot just for fun. So here's my midnight version of " Misty "

Cool rings... they have the advantage that you still can play normal as well.... I guess

Yes nice to see you back. Can remember you of course You can always ask for a specific artist studies in the upcoming lesson of the month. The next is still not decided http://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/guitarschool/index.php?showtopic=1193 HP

Mark Knopfler The current lesson of the month teaches you the basics about Mark Knopflers playing style in the time he was the frontman of Dire Straigts. I spent a lot of time to study his style and to see what makes it so special. This lesson shows you the essential from the songs Sultanas of Swing : http://www.youtube.c...h?v=gS9aY41G9EQ Money for Nothing : http://www.youtube.c...h?v=Po1TsgvOoOY Private Investigations : http://www.youtube.c...h?v=AhM4tyL5d6I Brothers in Arms : http://www.youtube.c...h?v=a6oWvAGmiCo Got to the lesson.

23.9.09 It has been a bit quite over the summer now in my blog. There were several private reasons for that but also a lot of changements with projects therefore I needed to talk with a lot of people to get things organized. Music for TV & movie I have produded a new generation of music with special guitarsounds and guitareffects which seemed to be very popular along the music - libraries and the my agency in US. Therefore I got several very good feedbacks about my latest words and I am in the final row as composer for a company who works with a broadcast company in US and a company who made several filmusic for 20th fox productions. Hopefully I will get a job somewhere. That would be great. Beside this I got 3 new tracks signed at my agency in Hollywood who also made the music for " Final destination 3 " - hopefully one day I will make it to such a movie too. I had a meeting as Swiss TV with the guys from the musicproduction department. They showed me in detail what they need from me and also told me that I am one of the most popular " in-house" composer there along the different editoral departments. Now I know exactly what they need I will make more placements I guess. Colormusic My lifeshow " Farbmusik " is on the way to true professionality. I tried to build up a team to get this whole thing running. I was not so easy because of course you first have to find out who really fits in the team and who really will do a great job. Unfortunately I had a bigger backlash this week but now it seems to be clear who will be in the team and who not. So I got somebody for graphicworks. She made a incredible job and she delivered on time and in a very professional manner. She made the bill for a testing liveshow on oct. 31th http://www.music-pictures.com/hp_plakat.pdf Somebody is responsible for all verbal presentations on stage and off stage and she is responsible for the social networking. http://www.frauenstimme.ch I got somebody who will help with possible sponsoring but he help me a lot to get my mind clear which way the music shall be. And last but not least I got a manager now who will take care of all booking and coordination activities. We already organized a professional fotoshooting so the new websites or soon online. The english one aready is http://www.music-pictures.com and the german one is http://farbmusik.com/beta All other possible partners unfortunately dropped out for some reasons. I spent a lot of time for social networking but I am glad that everything is clear now and I can start with the main work again. Online lessons The online lessons had to been holded back a bit in this time because I really was too busy. But Stevo one of my students at http://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/guitarschool is helping me a lot to make promotion work to keep it going. On guitartricks.com I had to clarify my status in the past days because a lot of things are changing there. But now we found something which really works great for all parties. I will now take care of rare playing techniques and rare licks and all " they call them " esoteric topics like " how to play " - " philosophies " all which comes with playing and mind and emotions. Therefore I launched a " talk to your guitar " series which is officially supported by them So as you can see it was not quite at all in the past 2 months and hopefully this will lead my work to the next level. :-) HP

Lesson of the month This lesson is about Larry Cartons version of T-Bone Walkers " Stormy monday blues ". This is a blues which is played very often and I heard it in many bars actually so it is obvious that there are many diferent versions of it around. I picked the Larry Carton version because his version and his playing style is just great for this lesson of the month. Here is the progression of Larry's version : A7 / D9 / A7 / A7 D9 / D9 / A7 B-7 / C#-7 C-7 E9 / D9 / A7 F9 / E9 D#9 or an alternative version A7 / D9 / A7 / A7 D9 / D9 / A7 B-7 / C#-7 C-7 E9 / D9 / A7 D9 / A7 E9 Get the lesson

Here I talk about me and my guitar who got 3 new tracks signed in Hollywood and the fact that I have to wear a suit for an upcoming fotoshooting.

I think it will run smoothly but let me know if you find something which is not working properly. I think the new design is giving the school a real professional look now. Things seem to be more complicate first but once you get into it you will see that everything has become much user - friendly and easy. Some real essential changements can be read here : http://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/guitarschool/index.php?showtopic=1180

This online guitarschool has a facebook account were you find some free stuff and you can keep yourself informed about the current news. LINK

Hi Rune, thanks... was kind of a work but the basic design was already a default setting. But take your time to check the new functions and possibilities. I wanted to have a more personal and dynamic system and here it is. HP

Finally the new system is here for the school. Still running some tests, but I think it is great. Please let me know if anything with the subscription manager is not working properly.

Well in this case it good I found the time to go through those firefox updates... was pretty much to do...

Yeah I was supprised how big the difference was in Firefox browser. Now it looks nearly the same... but didn't you use the fullscreen button on the right of the player ?

Update for firefox It has seemed that the old system didn't display the videos correcly in the firefox browser. I have found a solution now and edited all videos - now the whole school is also compatible with Internet Explorer & Firefox 3.5
