Axe FX Ultra g66.eu I have started to endorse the Axe FX now. Since I am a big fan of the sound and soundpossibilities this is not very hard for me. The more and more I get into the work in the studio and live with the Axe FX Ultra the more I can't be without it anymore. Guitartricks.com Guitartricks.com has gone through some major changements as you know which kept me very busy. But it was worth. The new site is online now and currently they are featuring me pretty well. Well the Fracal audio axe is in fact great. I wouldn't say it if I would really mean it. And yes this assignement will pay me the rent for one year but it will be some work. That will keep me busy till the end of the year. HP

New sound equipement I got a new amazing piece of equipement in my studio which I will use for my recording and my liveplaying. It is the Fractal Audio Axe FX Ultra - view http://www.fractalaudio.com/ Somebody recommend it to me and I bought it without hearing how it sounds.... and IT IS GREAT !!! The Ampmodels are great and the effects are really outstanding and they sound like the effects of the legendary Eventide H3000 or Lexikcon PCM70. And the latency of this thing is only 2ms ( compare with the line 6 POD - 5ms ) and yes this makes a great difference. You feel when you want to play fast. Guitartricks.com guitartricks.com is running through some major updates since the middle of September. Since I am one of the featured instructors I have to participate this work as well and it is a lot of work. All videos have to be re-shot in HD quality. I am half through this but from now one I have to take it a bit slower since other projects are coming now. Composing work I finaly got the assignment to compose the music to a movie which is currently in production. This will be the 175 anniversery movie of a worldwide very well know Swiss company. The movie be be only with music. This means that I have to compose over 30 minutes of music till the end of the year. Live performances I have a whole bundle of live performances coming up in the next few weeks and months. This will keep me very busy but I am glad that I have my Axe FX now. This tool is really what was need to take my touch technique abilties to the next level and to take it to a more modern version of it. I think when all is over I will start to record a new guitar - only CD with touch technique. Looking forward to it. Work overload I now am in the situation that I have that much work that I can not do this all on my own any more. So I started to hire somebody yesturday who will help me with graphic works and homepage design. If everything works out fine she will also be responsible to any future art work on CD's or DVD's. Well the sellings are not outstanding but OK. And there is a market for instrumental music - currently I am working on some new stuff which will work out very good. I started this with a few liveperformances in spring 08 with the new concept and it was very successful - now I am working on a new CD and I will record a pure guitar CD next. I compose instrumental music for music libraries such as the one of Swiss national TV and I got a contract in spring 08 in Hollywood for my instrumental music. That's pretty cheap. You could give a shot - or you could work out producing your own music at your professional homestudio. In thes days you don't have to pick up that much money. HP

Well I did - that's what started my major crisis last year - I didn't look at anybody else until now.. Yeah the jam is actually only a 16th groove played with full distortion with a drop D tuning. I could add it in the jamtracks section. HP

4.9.08 Tomorrow is my birthday so I wanted to have all work finished to be able to celebrate it a bit tomorrow since I am going through a lot of hard working times in the last weeks. I wasn't even able to make a few days during my " official " holidays in summer.
