The Good The Bad and The Ugly
Here you can learn how to play the theme of the Western Movie " The Good, The Bad and the Ugly " where Ennio Morricone has written the music. This theme is one which will stay forever in our minds so it was worth to work out a version for you which works on guitar. The first part of the theme is not played with a guitar, but I still worked out how to play that melody. The 2nd part is in fact a guitar and there I worked out how it was played back in those 60's days. A most iconic song which is while worth to learn but it is harder to play then it might seem at first. Theme The Good The Bad The Ugly.pdf Theme The Good The Bad The Ugly.gp

Jazz Blues Chord Solo
In this tutorial I am talking about a chord solo in a jazz blues. In certain situations like playing in a trio with only bass and drums or also the solo guitar playing you might consider making a chord solo in a jazz blues instead of playing normal single-note lines. there are certain protagonist who have showed how this has to been done. These would be players like Joe Pass or many others. In this easy one chorus chords of solo I show you most tricks you can do with jazz chords the easy way so pay close attention to my instructions. It is advisable that you practice these exercises so long till you can play the entire solo with your foot on count 2 and 4. The form which I am using is the following one : F7 / F7 / F7 / F7 Bb7 / Bb7 / F7 / F7 G-7 / C7 / F7 D7 / G-7 C7 Jazz Blues Chord Solo.pdf Jazz Blues Chord Solo.gp jazzblues F 120.mp3

Birth of the Cool Jazz Guitar
I had a jazz vibe today in the studio so I switched on my guitar and played this improvised original in the vibe of one of my idols - Miles Davis with his CD " Birth of the cool " - It's a little homage to this great jazz artist. Without him I think jazz would not really exist. Here is the backing track which I created. You can give a try yourself ? jazzblues F 120.mp3

Basic Music Theory - Classical Cadence ( L Form or I IV V Progression )
The classical cadence is the most important subject to understand music and how chords move or just how music works in general. There are several expression for the classical cadence. Some call it the I IV V progression, some the L Form and some Tonica, Subdominat and Dominat. But the main thing is that it represents a principle which you find in mostly all music genres which have the focus on musical expression. And the principle is that a chord progression starts with a Resting Point ( Tonica, I, Root ) then Build up Tension ( Sub Dominat, IV ) goes to a Maximum Tension ( Dominant, V ) to get back to the Resting Point. This works in all major and all minor keys the same. Below you find all chapters of this tutorial. 0:00 Introduction 1:17 The L-Form 2:04 Major 4:39 Minor 7:30 Inversions Classical Cadenza.gp Classical Cadenza.pdf

Blues Chord Improvisation
Blues Chord Improvisation When it comes to Blues chord improvisation everybody would love to be completely free and to improvise with some really cool chords and ideas. In this example I am using chords of the Slow Blues by Mick Taylor. This riff contains 4 chords : E7 A7 / G¦A B7 First I analyze the chords and then the rhythm and then create some simple ideas on which you can develop during your chord improvisation. The trick to any chords improvisation is that you always refer to the original riff by chords and rhythm. You always have to keep the musical form going on in your improvisation even if you only play a very few notes as I am also showing you here in this tutorial. The riff of the Slow Blues by Mike Tayler can be learnt here : Blues Chord Improvisation.pdf Blues Chord Improvisation.gp

Dark Hendrix Rock Riff
The Jimi Hendrix chord was the E7#9 chord.Even Hendrix did not Invent this chord it was always related to him because he used very often. In this tutorial I am showing you a very cool rock riff using this chord but with a drop d tuning. With a drop D tuning you tune down the low E string to a D and then you have three open strings which create a really dark and strong powerchord which is very easy to grab and so very good for beginners or intermediate players. Since the left hand work is very easy you can fully concentrate on the right-hand which picks the strings and there I am showing you some tricks and tips which make you a very good rock guitar player. The 3 tricks which I'm showing you here ar the central part of any rock riff and it you pay close attention to my instructions you won't have any difficulties anymore to play a really tight rock rhythm guitar.
