Expressive 80s Rock Balade
You want to play an expressive 80s rock ballad and style of Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Gary Moore or others this is the tutorial which might solve your questions. This tutorial I show you how you figure out which are the long notes you want to Target in your soloing and how to express them and how to move from one to the other to create a really great melody line. When it comes to slow rock ballads low notes are the really important part of the soloing and the melody creation. If you cannot match the long notes and the target notes the rest will not sounds really cool the runs So before you start your guitar solo you need to analyze the chords of a song and then proceed as I'm showing in tutorial. And this song the chords are like this : G / Em / C / D / G / Em / C / D / Em / C D / Em / C D / Em / C D / Am / D Expressive 80's Rock Balade.pdf Expressive 80's Rock Balade.gp pop rock balade G 80.mp3

I Love Another Woman ( Peter Green )
Peter Green was one of the most iconic guitar players of the 60s. He started his career as replacing the Eric Clapton with John Mayall & the bluesbreakers. Later he founded Fleetwood Mac. He wrote quite a few songs which became quite famous such as Black Magic Woman which was played by Carlos Santana and became a world hit. Due to several health problems with drugs and mental problems he left Fleetwood Mac and started his own career. Now he passed away in July 2020 at the age of 73. Let's honor his work with his song “ I love another woman “ This blues was played by many guitar players such as Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa or Snowy White. In this tutorial I show you the first 12 bars of his guitar solo which is the most iconic part of this song and explain you the song is built with the chords and give you some ideas how you can solo on your own and how to play those chords in combination with some soloing parts. The song is basically a minor blues in the key of D minor and has the following form : Dm7 / Dm7 / Dm7 / Dm7 Gm7 / Gm7 / Dm7 / Dm7 A7#9 / A7#9 / Dm7 / Dm7 I love another woman.pdf I love another woman.gp i love another woman.mp3

Summertime ( Gershwin ) - Smooth Jazz Guitar
Hey Sara, yes thats very common that the result of improvisation or even playing sounds different from what you thought it is when you record yourself. Thats why it's important to record yourself often to monitor how you sound and improve your playing like this - and singing your soloing indeed helps. It's a matter of practice - just do in small steps as I showed in this lesson and then improve step by step. The singing also shows your " true " playing and hearing ability which can be a bit frustrating once you start with it... same as the recording.

Summertime ( Gershwin ) - Smooth Jazz Guitar
Here you can learn all smooth jazz guitar parts of the song " Summertime " by George Gershwin. I first talk about the theme and show you the very simplified version of the theme in the key of Am. Then I show you how you can spice up the theme with your own interpretation or by adding fillins or addons. After that part I show you the chords which I have used which you can use in a band setting or in a solo guitar setting. The chords and the form are displayed here : Am7 / E7#9 / Am7 / A7b13 / Dm9 / F13 / E7#9 / E7#9 Am7 / E7#9 / Am7 / D9 / C Am / D E / Am7 / E7#9 After that I give you some insight how you can improvise by using the A minor pentatonic, A blues scale, the A minor scale, octaves in the Wes Montgomery or George Benson style and how you can do scatting ( singing the playing your improvisation at the same time ) I also explain how you follow the chords by using target notes of the chords A7b13 , E7#9 and D9. At the end I give you some final notes how you can train your ears that you can hear the notes you are playing in an improvisation better by singing what you are playing. Here you find the chapters of this tutorial 0:00 Introduction 3:25 Theme 11:57 Chords 17:15 Improvisation 27:01 Final Notes I have composed a smooth jazz backing track in the key of Am ( original ) on 80 BPM for this tutorial but you can practice this with any other backing track as well. Sad Spanish Romance - Lesson
Here you can learn some wonderful guitar chords which work well for flamenco or spanish guitar on an intermediate guitar playing level. First I show you the chords of this song in Bm which I created. I show them with finger picking but you can also use your guitar pic. It's not typical flamenco guitar technique but in the vibe of great players like Paco de Lucia, Al di Meola or others. The chords are : Bm11 / A 13 / Gmaj7 / Em9 F#7sus In the second part of this tutorial I show you how you can use the B minor scale and the chords I showed before to create a simple but wonderful melody. It's not always the speed of the lead guitar which makes the magic - it the feel and touch and knowing what you are doing. Thats what I show you in the second part.
