Five Steps To Heaven - Farbmusik Hellblau

Robben Ford Style Blues Guitar Riff
Here I am showing you a easy but very cool Robben Ford style blues guitar riff with the chords E7#9 / A13 / E7#9 / B13 and give you some ideas how to make a cool solo to those chords. The riff is very easy to play because you just need to move the E7#9 voicing one fret down or up but the improvisation might be a brainer. It is a blues but the regular Em blues scale does not reflect the vibe we want to achieve. So we need to start working with several scales including the half tone - full tone scale. Here you find a very easy but cool Robben Ford style blues guitar riff which is using a chord voicing which just gets move one fret up oder down and creates a cool blues riff with the progression : E7#9 / A13 / E7#9 / B13. You can improvise with the E minor blues scale on the E7#9 chord and with that scale including the C# on the A13 chords. On the B13 I recommend using either just the chord notes of the B7 chord or the half tone - full tone scale which sounds great on this specific situation. I have wrote a little example where you can check it out. The backing track is produced in the room of the famous " Bird Land " café in NY. These files are associated to this tutorial :Free -
Easy Rock Guitar Fretboard Mastery
Here I show you a fast and easy way to master the entire fretboard during your rock guitar solo by just using 2 minor pentatonic patterns and the house of blues. The trick is that you build up a motiv with some basic rock guitar licks and then move them to the house of blues, then move up to the pattern 4 of the minor pentatonic which in this case is the bridge to pattern no 1 of the minor pentatonic in the high ( octave ) position. Think about a football ( soccer ) team which starts from the defense ( low penatonic root position ) to get to the goal ( high pentatonic root position ) Here you find the files associated to this tutorial :
