Smile ( Charlie Chaplin ) - Guitar Lesson
As mentioned in the tutorial - on the first part with 5 bars of Fmaj - I do the movement from F to Fmaj7 to F6 with arpeggio's - on the Abdim I would do a diminished arpeggio. On G-7 you use dorian, D7 phrygian nat. 3 on Bb-7 Eb7 we change the key for 2 bars to Ab but you treat those 2 chords as a II V - I will talk about this in future tutorials. When you do an analyis for the improvisation you always search for the II V progressions and therefore you have licks which you use for II V progressions. We have a 2nd one at the end of the tune with Ab-7 Db7 - here another key change to Gb. To make it easier - follow the melody and play around the melody in your improv. and when those " out of key " moments come just follow the melody as well.

Personal News Feed
I have been doing a lot of strategic analysis since january 2023 and here are the current strategies which I am planing to work on durning 2025 : Focus on building more on this community here. The goal was to bring together all different types of things I am doing on one website. It was really a challenge because it is a lot and it shall not be confusing for user. But the main topics will be the HPCRazy Guitar Academy and the new music which is coming now. I have restarted the pitching of music into the TV and movie syncing business. The competition is extremly high but thats a way to go and I have already been successful in the past still getting royalities from that time every month. BTW this also help to finance this whole system here which still is on economic weak feet. Live Playing - That part I have been neglating a lot in the past 20 years because I was too busy. But I can say the the work on the Farbmusik Concerts slowly starts to pay off and the audience which started from nearly 0 is growing a bit each time. And I also formed a new band for the HPCrazy Guitar Show. More news is coming in the future. Beside the synching business I will start to release more music to my different brand but the main brands will be Farbmusik and HPCrazy.

Courses
Hey Markus, thats in fact something I never thought about before. For the moment there is this solution : You can mark any part of the course which you already finished with " helpful " - then you know exactly which part you already learnt and which one not. Just click on it then it turns green. Here you can see it :

St. Louis Blues - Jazz Guitar Lesson
Yes this tune is great to start a bit with jazz guitar because the main part is a blues in G, but you have to play it with the mixolydian mode and to start I would work out something which is near to the theme. which part do you exactly mean ? The last line of the C part ? As far as I know the A and the C part are only there for the melody and only the B part which is a blues is used for improvisation. But I can do some licks on II V I - they will soon come in the basic jazz improvisation course. Today I added something on a II V I in a minor key.
