  11. And what I liked about it is that I could evaluate where I stand as of now because I listened to all of the videos. I havent practice alot guitar playing lately because I spent so much time on getting used to my new recording gear and actually recording that I need to take more time to practice playing with my guitar even if I hate it lolll Real good tutorial .
  12. That seems quite interesting I.ll certainly get into it

Hi HP, Is it Freud that said you need a balance between work and pleasure. You were working alot indeed. You had to make choices to get back to a reasonable balanced state. And yes it's a matter of long term vision. Postponing your DVD projects isnt a bad thing . Sales of DVD are constantly decreasing anyways and with what is happening on the web, music is increasingly sold thru different channels than traditional music stores . Websites like Live365 are selling packages of music in the same way you buy a package of TV channels thru cable or satellite TV. Although if one of your song is played you get royalties it mostly help promote the artists that will perform live I think. I think you're going in the right direction in wanting to play live. I dont come here so often now. Been working alot on my music mainly wrting songs. Am working on 3 at this moment. The last one being a medieval type of song. I needed to use a different kind of picking style using alot of double stop which I use on a jazzy chord progression that I started working on also. I'm havin fun exploring different style of music. take care denis
  14. When I saw this video, actually a longer version of it I think, the first time there wasnt any narration to it. The narration adds alot to the overall feel of the video and the sound track strengthens the whole presentation in a remarkable way. I didnt know about Taxi.com. I'm with Broadjam.com which does similar things but so far had little success with it. I might drop it. Great work HP

I really like the violet set of songs. I may try eventually to test doing an instrumental piece in the electronica genre.
  16. I bet it takes time. All the multimedia software of this kind can do great things but it takes alot of experimenting with It's unbelievable the number of tools we indie artist have to learn to be self sufficent
  17. Forgot to mention . I think these guys have quite similar style . I think they're using open tuning like open E. I tested a while ago using open E tuning and it had that very open sound like these guys have denis
  18. HP, Very very nice entry page. Are you using Macromedia Director ? for the multimedia part ? and then you use Nuendo to add the music theme ? I have Sonar producer edition as DAW and it has softsynths but I havent found anything that sounds similar to the type of synth sound you seem to be using.
  19. HP Here's a link to youtube A guy playing touch technique Might be of some interest to you denis
  20. It's funny that most restaurants have french names Did you get to stay overnight in one of their rooms ? denis

This lesson is certainly a good example of the use of variant chords to add color to your chord progressions

I'll take a look at taxi.com Maybe you had some sort of tendonitis I know this can hurt alot. I had it to the right shoulder and had to have cortisone shots to kill the pain. Your story is totally admirable. It shows that whatever talent you have , hard work is the key to success. Have a nice day

It's a great experience for you then. Even if it was a first for you you had the gutts to give it a try. You should never doubt your abilities especially with the toolbox that you have. Out of curiosity what accident did you have that you had to stop playing piano for many years. Did you learn guitar after you had this accident and if so how could you play guitar if you couldnt play piano . Both instruments need to use your hands to play If the question is too personal you dont need to answer

It's OK but pretty boring. I guess being a corporate presentation he didn't want it to be too upbeat. As a creator it's sure you dont have the same perspective as the producer who's more of just a conservative business man. This contract may bring you another one where you'll be able to makle something more exciting. The overall quality is outstanding so you achieved your mandate well. Have a nice day, denis
