In this club you find some FREE GUITAR STUDENT FILES for all members of the HPCrazy Guitar Academy. This is like a selection of files which I think are cool for you guys and also represent the vibe of the HPCrazy Guitar Academy. Some of the files might be a bit difficult for beginners or intermediate players but it's good to know that material like that exists and it might be an inspiration for some of you guys. On some things you might work for months or years. But thats the path of a true guitar lover who always wants to improve.

  1. What's new in this club
  2. There is a new department available in the HPCrazy Guitar Academy : Guitar Beginners If you are a Guitar Beginner - then this is the part which brings you step by step with a various set of exercises to an intermediate guitar playing level. The first 6 - 12 months are hard for any guitar beginner because there are many things which have to be repeated all the time till one is able to perform them on the guitar. These exercises are meant to keep you motivated even if you need to repeat many things over and over again. https://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/members/forum/1-guitar-beginners/
  3. Guitar Beginners I will start a new series of tutorials now. I want to guide the total guitar beginners through the first really hard 6-12 months of learning guitar. The point is - when you start with guitar there is not much you can do till you have the technical abilities to grab chords - specially the barré chords, to play some lead guitar with simple melodies and to do your first bendings, the first vibrato's and and and.... This phase can be really frustrating because things take time and you can not make any shortcuts. But my job as an instructor is to keep you guys motivated in this time and still get you a creative and fun vibes into your beginner steps on guitar. My system is different then the regular ones and it works. I got many feedbacks from beginner students over many years. In these tutorials I will also show everything slow and very precise. The will come with the title index " Guitar Beginners - ..... " and will be also marked with this tag here in the search tags. Guitar Beginners For guidance during your process in those first 6-12 months I strongly recommend that you use the blog feature where you can write about your experience and your difficulties in order to get some professional advice. Blog Feature
  4. This one will be next :-) But in a way to jam with the Bo Diddley groove. That one is fun.
  5. I Love It! and yes it is hell... I have had the hardest time playing with a click track. I can play if a drum track is already laid out but if I have to play to a click track to send to the drummer and bass player's, I lose my mind. This helps me to focus and it's indeed getting easier to play with a click track... Awesome Thanks!
  6. In fact yes I agree the course is " hell " but it's worth. I created a badge now for all those who passed the final test of this course : If you want I can add the badge to your account - since you passed the test
  7. I did this course and it was hell .... means, I loved it . While the first chapters seem to be easy, don`t worry, at the end you will reach your limits fo sure. As HP wrote, it was highly important to be as exact as possible and even when playing plain quarter notes, at first, I was not on the spot of the click. I can recommend this course to anyone wanting to improve.
  8. View File Rhythm Studies Here you find the entire course " Rhythm Studies " were students can learn to fix their rhythm and timing issues. The key to fix this issue is to know what rhythm is and to practice every aspect of rhythm with a click and directly on the fretboard. If you know how rhythm is written then you know what kind of rhythm pattern you are playing and how it sounds. This is an entire course " Rhythm Studies " were you start from the very beginning. Take every lesson very seriously. At the end of the studies it gets really difficult and if you don't know each module of this course very well you don't have a change in the last 2-3 lessons anymore to fulfill the task. Also take the written pauses very seriously. Every note has a beginning and an end. So also be precise on the endings of the notes. If you don't know rhythm notation at all please first go through the theory first : There are several ways you can practice the rhythm studies on the fretboard. The easiest one would be just by playing the rhythm you are reading with one note on the fretboard. I recommend that for players who are still in the intermediate range of their technical abilities. If you are an advanced player you can do the rhythm studies with a 4 bar chord progression ( Ex. 1 : G / C / Am / D or Ex. 2 Em / Am / C / D ) or whatever comes to your mind. Or you can also do the rhythm studies with picking patterns only on one chord. You are free to transport the rhythm you are reading on your fretboard. Here you can find a short tutorial where I show you how you can start working with the system : Here are the conditions : 1. You should not make any mistakes - max. 3 mistakes per lesson 2 . Play with a click of your choice. I would recommend 80 bpm but also try other speeds to get a feeling for the rhythm. 3. The first exercises are very easy. Take every lesson very serios and practice is as if you would record a CD. Try also to give musical expression to everything you play. 4. If you are also interested in blues or jazz you also need to do the studies in the ternary( shuffle ) groove. 5. Take your time - the point is not to play everything that it's played. The point is that you feel every note you are playing and to build automatisms in precisions and musical precision. Thats the main goal of these studies. 6. Don't expect results very fast. It can take months till you feel a substancial difference in your free playing. 7. Once you went through one modul try to transport what you learned in to your regular playing. If you need any help or advice please open up a blog and tell what your problems or concerns are. Describe your situation as precise as possible. Or if you need personal coaching on this and you want that your studies are getting monitored you can also book some private lessons. Doing the final test : If you went through all modules of the rhythm studies and you wish to make the final test you can book a private skype lesson. There we make an appointment and then I will send you a file of 3 - 4 pages on the difficulty level of the last module of the rhythm studies. Then you have 5 minutes time to view the pages and then you have to play them with sight reading with a click and I control how precise you were and how many mistakes you made. If you reached a presicion level of 75 % and did not make more than 5 mistakes you pass the test and you get the " rhythm study award " - or the confirmation that you fulfilled the task. The earliest time I recommend this test is 6 months after you started the studies. Submitter admin Submitted 03/25/2024 Category Theory & Exercises
  9. Notification Settings and Followed Content Here I want to give some information to get the best benefit out the content here. Notification Settings If you follow any content here in this community you can go to the notification settings and define if you get either a push or an email notification if your followed content gets updated. You find the notification settings here : https://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/members/notifications/options/ if you want to manage the followed content more in detail you find the settings here : https://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/members/followed/
  10. The sheer amount and quality of content is more than worth the cost of a membership. The community is a bonus. Your rule is more than fair.
  11. I have updated the " Site Guidelines " on point 3. I have added the " no refunds " policy due to the first case I had today. I will explain here more in detail. Every student can find out for free if the system works for them or not. With the premium membership you get the backing tracks, tabs and blog feature and support that the video's are free for everybody. If somebody purchases a premium membership they can download all in one day and then ask for a refund. I don't think that is fair - so am not willing to give a refund. The other point is, that it creates additional administrativ work. But in this case I gave it since the rule did not exists till now.
  12. yeah and these guys back then had no fancy light effects and stage show.
  13. I'm not sure anyone put on a better live performance.
  14. Updated the search tags with Carlos Santana Have some fun - more Carlos Santana stuff to come.
  15. I have a new student who is a lefty but started with guitar as a right handed guitar player. That was quite a situaiton when we found out - are there any comments or experiences which can be shared on this topic ? BTW - I totally forgot about this topic here
  16. My 1st guitar was a right handed acoustic, which I steung upside down. Since then every guitar I bought has been a lefty. I have considered getting a right handed Stratacastor and plating it upside down. My only complaint with my lefty Strat us that the switch and knob gets in the way of my strumming hand.. maybe it would be better with the controls on top?
  17. There is a great feature for you guys here to help to grow this commity and to make a few bucks on this website by sharing your personal : Referral Links This system has a mutual benefit. It might help to bring up the traffic here on this website and for those members out there who would like to purchase any services which I am offering, but are a bit short on cash, get make a few bucks here which can be used then once you get your premium membership or whatever. Read the rules of the Referral Links here : You also find your " Credit Page " in the main menu - Store / Your Credit The more traffic we get here in this community the better for everybody
  18. Exactly! Encouraging constructive feedback or just sharing our personal progress.
  19. Thats a great idea - or also students could share what they are working on - something like - look I am working on this tutorial and that's how it sounds at the moment.
  20. Perhaps a collaboration idea could be to have an area where someone could post a track that they create. Then other members can add to it. Not sure... just an area specifically for community collaboration? Just a thought. Looking forward to seeing the community grow.
  21. Hey guys, this website is going to a next phase after a phase of around 4 years where I was building up the whole Guitar Academy with content which offer you guys the full scale of music education. I can tell that the most really essential topics are now here and represented and for all beginner - advanced players the system is complete that it can be full operational. Now comes the phase were we can start working as a community. What is the benefit of a community ? Together we are stronger because we can share our experience and our knowledge. I did the best to cover all the professional needed topics in the academy but the human interaction is also an important part of the learning process on the guitar journey. I made the system in a way now that everybody can get a benefit from this community. So let me share the available features and thoughts on that : Guitar Students Club This is your part on this website where you guys can talk about anything related to music, guitar playing or thoughts about music. I want to keep it only on this topic because todays online communities have a real problem which discussions which get out of balance very quickly. Even in the chat of my morning coffee game which I am playing people start to attack eachother about nothing. Thats something I don't want to see here. Respect and tolerance have to be first even if you don't agree with something somebody posted. If everybody follows that simple rule then all will be fine and you guys can communicate with eachother. Blogs For the blogs there is the same thing. The only difference is that you have your own account and your own profile and your own link and this area is more private and only for premium members. When it comes to problems and questions about your own guitar journey I will be reading your entries and give you some advice which tutorials are there to help you on your personal current standing on your guitar journey and of course I enjoy knowing more about you guys - so any kind of life stories with your guitar is most welcome there. Read more about the blogs here : Your data and your account can be deleted anytime if you decide to leave this webpage. There for go to your account security settings and request a temination of your account. https://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/members/settings/account-security/ I have wrote a version of the community guidelines - I hope this is enough to protect the community from any kind damage. Too bad that there even have to be rules : So that's all for the moment - I hope the community starts to grow and interact in nice and friendly way.
  22. This one will be next - I will make a version which can be played with 2 guitars. That's really fun - you guys might want to pick up the challenge and start to colaborate with eachother.
  23. Here's a really great live performance by Steve Morse. There you can really watch his picking technique which switches easy between different picking techniques and speeds. I am working at similar stuff at the moment after going for legato playing for many years.
