Guitar Beginners I will start a new series of tutorials now. I want to guide the total guitar beginners through the first really hard 6-12 months of learning guitar. The point is - when you start with guitar there is not much you can do till you have the technical abilities to grab chords - specially the barré chords, to play some lead guitar with simple melodies and to do your first bendings, the first vibrato's and and and.... This phase can be really frustrating because things take time and you can not make any shortcuts. But my job as an instructor is to keep you guys motivated in this time and still get you a creative and fun vibes into your beginner steps …

Hey guys, this website is going to a next phase after a phase of around 4 years where I was building up the whole Guitar Academy with content which offer you guys the full scale of music education. I can tell that the most really essential topics are now here and represented and for all beginner - advanced players the system is complete that it can be full operational. Now comes the phase were we can start working as a community. What is the benefit of a community ? Together we are stronger because we can share our experience and our knowledge. I did the best to cover all the professional needed topics in the academy but the human interaction is also an importan…

Hey guys, I want to make the Guitar Students Club to the center of our small guitar community here. So if you have any suggestions, requests or comments please let me know what you guys think, or what is on your mind. Tutorial Requests It's always hard for me to find topics for upcoming tutorials since there are many things which I don't know and I often don't have so much time for research and stuff like that. If you want to help me to find topics for new tutorials please let me know. I only have one condition - it has to be somehow a popular topic or a topic which might be in the interest of the majority of students - but also sometimes topics which are …

Hi all, now that we are approaching the end of the year, I thought about objectives for the upcoming year. For me that is : Get routine to play tight and in timing. Sounds easy to achieve but unfortunately, each time I have a lesson with HP, I learn that it is not. :-) What are your goals for next year ? Have fun, Volker

Check out the brand new feature here in the Guitar Academy. In the blogs you can write about your journey on guitar, the exercises you are doing and the difficulties you are having and you can empower the community that you guys start to communicate with each other and help each other. I also will have an eye on your posts and monitor your practice plans and give some guidance there. The blogs are private and only premium members are able to write or read the posts there. I decided to make it only available to premium members to have some privacy there and also I feel like premium members are that group who are really interested to move forward systematically in thei…

You might want to give your opinion or suggestion here to help to improve the whole system. ------------------------------------- I am thinking about writting some guided courses out of the existing tutorials here to help you guys to get kind of a direction which tutorials shall be to watch and to work on. There is already so much content here in the academy - it's hard to keep track on all material which is here and if you don't know what to search for then you will not find it. Tell me what you think about this

Hey guys, I hear so often that people don't understand why the HPCrazy Guitar Academy does not have that big traffic as some guys out there think it would be worth. Well the truth is - there is a lot of competion out there in the net and there are companies, teams or groups who probably have more man-power then I do have. I am a one man company and I am doing everything myself - even this website. Well it's a CMS by invision power board but still I do all the maintainance, the promotion and the content creation including the production of the backing tracks myself. You probably now see the problem - I can not be everywhere - the main problem is that I don't have the …

In this club you find some free downloads for all members of the HPCrazy Guitar Academy. This is like a selection of files which I think are cool for you guys and also represent the vibe of the HPCrazy Guitar Academy. Some of the files might be a bit difficult for beginners or intermediate players but it's good to know that material like that exists and it might be an inspiration for some of you guys. On some things you might work for months or years. But thats the path of a true guitar lover who always wants to improve. As an example I am trying to play " Eugene's Trick Bag " since many years. Now after many years I think I get to the point where I can play it. Even…

In HP's version of Snowy Whites Midnight blues. I have been working on the run he does at the :21 / 3:45 mark. I love that he doesn't provide a lot of tabs. It makes me better to work it out. But that lick has me baffled. I have worked and worked at it. I can't get it nailed down. can anyone provide me some tips/tabs for that run. I can't tell if he starts it with an open string or not. and its just fast enough that i can't hear every note. any help would be appreciated My email is ninjazx10r07@yahoo.com Thanks

These days I am dealing with some problems of injuries from too much computer and guitar work. It's not the first time and the problem is quite common when I look back to all my students from the last 30 years. One should always keep in mind that our body is not made for guitar playing and when you play a lot you get tension and pain in your muscle system and it often comes from your shoulders even when it hurts in your elbow or wrist. Doing regular exercises as shown in this older video is the key to avoid dropouts in playing because you have to pause. If you already run into problems and you have pain then you still can keep on playing but then focus on eartraining…
