New Digital Strategy Works !
Yes - i can tell since I have been around in the digital world since 1999. This task is now the hardest ever but I found a solution which now brings overwhelming results and the best of all is. I got free from being a slave of the alogerithems of the platforms since my network I created is organic and very strong. This means that I don't need to post a YT video all 3 days. I can focus on quality and creativity again. With the prior upload cadence I was always near to a burnout. Now this website here is the center of all and creativity can flow again. I can not tell how tired I was being forced to upload constantly just to keep the ranking positions. All I need to do now is just have a cool and engaged creative community and work for the community and not the alogerithm.

Getting back to it, but which Path!??

New Digital Strategy Works !
Over the past three years, I've often wondered if the effort for my digital presence was still worth it. I know that hamster wheel feeling of constantly producing content that disappears after 24 hours. It felt like I was fighting an invisible system. But I decided to change the rules of the game. Instead of relying on the short-lived reach of social media, I built a sustainable digital network of my own. Last week was the breakthrough: Google read the new structure of my main portal, HanspeterKruesi.com. The result was overwhelming. The number of indexed pages jumped from 2,200 to over 10,500. All the effort no longer disappears; it now permanently strengthens my entire system. It's a new era for artists in the digital space. You have to build your own home base. ➡️ If you're wondering what a sustainable online presence looks like, take a look at my digital home and see for yourself.

New Backing Track Quality
Since Summer 2025 there is a new quality of backing tracks available here in the HPCrazy Guitar Academy. You guys might have noticed. In fact i have synched the production of most of the backing tracks with my pitching process in the synch business for TV & Movie and therefore the quality has to be top notch. And thats you you might have noticed as the change of the quality. As an example the current backing track " Van Halen Style Rock Guitar " is in fact produced on typical 80s production standards with typical 80s sounds which also includes the typical Eddie Van Halen guitar sound. or the track " High Octance Red Rock Guitar " was produced upon the standards of a professional sports rock track as you might hear it in any major sports show on TV. The business plan includes the rejections of the agencies because the screening process is extremly selectiv and picky but then the work for those tracks also is great for the students of the HPCrazy Guitar Academy.

Eddie Van Halens Brown Sound
Shred Like Eddie: Dialing the Ultimate EVH Sound on the Fractal Audio DevicesHey, HPCrazy Guitar Academy shredders! Ready to unleash the legendary Eddie Van Halen tone on your Fractal Audio Device? Whether you’re chasing the searing Jump vibe, the crunchy Panama riffs, or the explosive Eruption solos, this guide gives you the Clean, Rhythm, and Lead tones to sound like you’re rocking the Sunset Strip in 1984. No Floyd Rose? No worries some tapping magic will get you there. Let’s crank it up and dive into the Brown Sound! The Core Setup: Amp and CabEddie’s tone is built on a modified Marshall Plexi (1971 Super Lead 100W) for that classic Van Halen I/Jump warmth, with a nod to his EVH 5150 III for later albums. Here’s the foundation for all three tones: Amp Model: Plexi 100W High or Plexi Normal for the Jump-era vibe. Use the “Jumped” variant (bridging Normal and Bright inputs) for extra sizzle. For 5150-era punch, try 5153 50W Blue. Cab: 4x12 Marshall Greenback IR or 4x12 Basketweave (Celestion G12M Greenbacks). Mic with Shure SM57 + Royer R121. Low Cut at ~80 Hz, High Cut at ~8 kHz for a tight, focused rock tone. Pro Tip: Grab Choptones’ Eddie Vol. 1 IRs or ML Sound Lab’s Pre-Rola 4x12 for authentic EVH flavor. FM3 users, keep it to one cab block to save CPU! Scene 1: Clean Tone (Intro Vibes)For those sparkling Jump-style intros or clean arpeggios (think Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love intros), the clean tone is warm, shimmery, and wide. Amp Settings: Gain: 1–2 (super clean, just a hint of grit). Bass: 4–5 (warm but not boomy). Mid: 6–7 (smooth mids for clarity). Treble: 7–8 (bright and sparkly). Presence: 4–5 (gentle air). Master Volume: 6–8 (keeps it lively). Variac: ~90V for that saggy, vintage feel. Effects: Chorus: Analog Stereo Chorus or Dimension D. Rate 0.5–1 Hz, Depth 20–40%, Mix 50–70%. Gives that 80s shimmer. Phaser (optional): MXR Phase 90. Rate 0.5–2 Hz, Depth 50–70%, Feedback 20–30%. Engage for rhythmic intros like Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love. Reverb: Large Hall. Decay 2–3 s, Pre-Delay 20–50 ms, Mix 10–15%. Keeps it airy but clear. Signal Chain: Input > Phaser (optional) > Amp (Plexi Clean) > Cab > Chorus > Reverb > Output. Vibe: Think clean chords with a lush, wide feel, perfect for setting up the big riff. Pan reverb right (80%) for stereo magic. Scene 2: Rhythm Tone (Crunchy Riffs)For those chunky Panama or Jump rhythm parts, you need a crunchy, mid-heavy tone with just enough drive to bite. Amp Settings: Gain: 4–5 (enough crunch for Van Halen I/Jump riffs). Bass: 3–5 (tight to cut through). Mid: 6–8 (crank for that EVH bite). Treble: 6–8 (sparkle without harshness). Presence: 4–6 (adds clarity). Master Volume: 6–8 (natural amp distortion). Variac: ~90V for Brown Sound warmth. Effects: Drive: T808 (Tube Screamer). Drive 2–4, Level 6–8, Tone 5–7. Place before amp for light boost. Chorus: Analog Stereo Chorus. Rate 0.5–1 Hz, Depth 20–40%, Mix 50%. Adds 80s width to riffs. Reverb: Large Hall. Decay 2–3 s, Pre-Delay 20–50 ms, Mix 10–15%. Keeps the tone big. Signal Chain: Input > Drive > Amp (Plexi) > Cab > Chorus > Reverb > Output. Vibe: Chunky, powerful riffs that drive the song, with a wide, glossy 80s sheen. Pan guitars left (80%), reverb right (80%). Scene 3: Lead Tone (Singing Solos)For those screaming Eruption-style solos or Jump lead fills, you want a singing, sustained tone with lush delay. Amp Settings: Gain: 5–7 (higher for sustain, perfect for tapping). Bass: 3–5 (tight for clarity). Mid: 6–8 (cuts through the mix). Treble: 6–8 (bright but smooth). Presence: 5–6 (extra air for solos). Master Volume: 6–8 (max sustain). Variac: ~90V for that creamy Brown Sound. Effects: Drive: T808. Drive 3–4, Level 6–8, Tone 5–7. Boosts sustain for solos. Delay: 2290 Delay (TC Electronic vibe for Panama). Time 300–450 ms (e.g., 400 ms), Feedback 20–30%, Mix 20–30%. High Cut at 5–6 kHz in Delay EQ for warm, smooth repeats. Reverb: Large Hall. Decay 2–3 s, Pre-Delay 20–50 ms, Mix 10–15%. Adds space without drowning the lead. Micro Pitch (optional): ±10 cents for a fatter 5150-era tone. Signal Chain: Input > Drive > Amp (Plexi) > Cab > Delay > Reverb > Output. Vibe: Singing, butter-smooth leads that make tapping feel effortless (as you discovered!). The delay adds that soaring EVH magic.

Getting back to it, but which Path!??
Hey Hels, sorry for the late reply - was on a summerbreak and busy with lot of strategic stuff and so I did not check the blogs here. I will make the system more visible again that this does not happen again. 😊 You have quiet a musical story here. You started with a flamenco guitar teacher. That means you have a complet different picking technique then regular electric guitar players have which all started by using a pick. My question would be which is your current right hand technique ? Maybe you can share a YT video showing your playing technique that I get a better understanding what we are dealing with here. Your abilities to play keys on the mini keyboard is a musical plus for your abilities but will not help you with your guitar technique. Therefore I also would need more information. And if you still not have decided to buy that guitar - go for it. I always say if you love a guitar - buy it whatever the price is - in my case my last guitar went way way way over my budget but I never regreted it. Maybe first post the video I was asking above then I can give you a recommendation for private lessons. But if you have a few bucks left for that I recommend that anyway - not because I want to make money. It's just the fastest and most precise way to go. HP
