Rhythm Studies
Here you find the entire course " Rhythm Studies " were students can learn to fix their rhythm and timing issues. The key to fix this issue is to know what rhythm is and to practice every aspect of rhythm with a click and directly on the fretboard. If you know how rhythm is written then you know what kind of rhythm pattern you are playing and how it sounds. This is an entire course " Rhythm Studies " were you start from the very beginning. Take every lesson very seriously. At the end of the studies it gets really difficult and if you don't know each module of this course very well you don't have a change in the last 2-3 lessons anymore to fulfill the task. Also take the written pauses very seriously. Every note has a beginning and an end. So also be precise on the endings of the notes.

I am currently working a lot on guitar sounds with my AXE FX Products. I do own the AXE FX III and the AXE FM3. Here you can see my studio rack :

Now here's the current task which has to be solved or which was always a task when I worked on guitar sounds. The unedited amplifier sound or sound out of modeling amp systems which I mostly use have a kind of " hardness " in it. That means that you hear the attack of the pick well and in a disturbing way this makes it hard to play a really fast run - also when you only play legato and the notes don't come as smooth as they should. This effect can also happen when you have your amp settings nice at home and then you go on stage and the sound engineer puts a random microphone position and then you have this same effect again which gives you the same described problem. This is the task I am working on often and the bad things can change when you change the sound environment like the room, the microphone, the microphone position, the guitar, the pick or the playing technique. All have to work together to get the perfect guitar sound which makes your playing seemingless and supports your playing technique.

The classical cadence is the most important subject to understand music and how chords move or just how music works in general. There are several expression for the classical cadence. Some call it the I IV V progression, some the L Form and some Tonica, Subdominat and Dominat. But the main thing is that it represents a principle which you find in mostly all music genres which have the focus on musical expression. And the principle is that a chord progression starts with a Resting Point ( Tonica, I, Root ) then Build up Tension ( Sub Dominat, IV ) goes to a Maximum Tension ( Dominant, V ) to get back to the Resting Point. This works in all major and all minor keys the same. Below you find all chapters of this tutorial.

1:17 The L-Form
2:04 Major
4:39 Minor

The next classification test is now available in my Guitar Academy. Jazz Guitar Intermediate - the requirements for passing the test are described there. The purpose of the classification tests is to give online students as well as regular " live " students a guideline of where they stand with their guitar playing, what the requirements are to be able to pass at a certain level in a certain genre. This should motivate, but also channelize. Nowadays you can find masses of information on the subject of guitar and guitar learning everywhere on the internet and in my practical experience, most students are overwhelmed by the flood of information and they overtax themselves or have unrealistic short and medium-term goals. The grading tests are intended to counterbalance this. The whole system as it stands now is the sum of my experience from over 20 years of professional online education and the construction of this system, which is now slowly becoming complete, has taken around 4 years. Now you can get started - the combination of online Guitar Academy and live lessons, concerts, music and and and.... I think there are very few such complete online education systems on the Internet - here every level is catered for, from beginner to budding professional guitarist. Another new feature is that the official language is "English" and "German". In the Premium Member Blogs, where the playing level, requirements etc. are discussed in detail, users can now also write in German.
