    The topic of this lesson is a shuffle blues in the key of E in a medium tempo in the SRV style. There are some spezific problems which have to be reviewed. Like the sound, the way of playing and the licks which work best. These are mostly double stop licks and combinations of them with chords, the rhythm guitar and some single note lines. The sound I have used is created with the AXE FX II – a marshall 800 with some delay on it and thats it. You can use any kind of medium distortion on your amp the playing technique makes the difference. One technique he was famous for was using his thumb to play single notes, octaves and chords. I'll play a short example for you in the key of Gm.
