This is a pretty open lesson where I show you a basic fingerpicking riff with easy chords. You can choose the one I am showing or something similar then try to get into improvisation and into expression and dynamics and improvisation. Since the licks and riffs are not so hard to play the trick is to have the focus on your expression, the way you feel the groove, the riff and the fill ins. There is acutally no way in teaching creativity because it is individual but if you learn to get a connection between you and your guitar and you start to feel the music and you are able to create different types of expression and dynamics you will be able to get into your own way of expression and this is what music is all about. So try to get the basic licks of this lesson and then work on the dynamics, the mood you want to create and just play.

If you want to get more familiar with this kind of picking technique you might check the Mark Knopfler Video.
