Finally I found my style in jazz, so that I can fully live out my creativity on the guitar and it doesn't sound like usual jazz guitar anymore. First to be heard at the Jazznight in Zug from Oct 3 in Monsieur Baquette together with the guys from HazzdaJazz. I have been following the style of George Benson, Wes Montgomery and Joe Pass a long time but never felt like flying when I played this styIe. This has changed now - really love it. I will open up a vlog here in the HPCrazy Students Club where you can follow me on my path to that style.

Find it here ... https://www.randscullard.com/CircleOfFifths/ I hope this helps ..... (And HP doesn't mind me promoting it on the site?) ✌️✌️

Personally, I believe I am "Beginner/Intermediate" .... I studied quite a bit of theory when I started learning the guitar, and I now sometimes feel that my theoretical knowledge exceeds my practical playing ability. I'm hoping it will catch up with Hanspeters' help .....

Hey folks, there have only been a few months since I have opened up the HPCrazy Students Club and we are now approaching 100 members which is pretty cool. So here my thoughts for you students how to use the HPCrazy Students Club. If you are a free member or a premium member you both have the possibility to start new topics here. So you can use this feature to talk with other students about whatever you want. What is now coming in the near future are the Guitar Nights here in Switzerland were students of mine can participate live in the opening act. This refers to the online students and my students here in Switzerland as well. So here you can choose and discuss …

Hi HP. Really like your music and the help you give on technique and music in your posts. I am a beginner player and I must say your finger exercises have really helped me get some finger independence. I know the answer will probably be no but no harm in asking. You did a brilliant post on the 24th Jan 2018 called Crispy Licks. Would the tab be available? I know I should get it piece by piece by replaying the video as I probably will learn it better that way, but being time poor I thought I would ask. Anyway thanks for what you have given us and I look forward to improving myself to play more of your posts. Cheers Chris Kessling

Hey folks, I have decided to change my strategy in tutorials a bit now due to the most recent developments in the legal section due to article 13 which has be approved by the EU parlament. This was the first step in a new direction on hosting platforms such as YouTube and the first effects are already showing up. Therefore check the video below. This means that I will no longer go for cover songs and cover tutorials which apparently does not have such a bit effect on my guitar channel because my teaching method never has been tied up to cover songs - more on the individual expression. If you think the guy in this video is over reacting - he is not. I have some add…

Beside the video of the month there will be some more updates on teaching video's in 2007 as well. Here you can help me to decide what to do. Don't write any describtions or suggestions. The vote is enough for me to get a impression of your opinion. Multiple votes are possible where the checkboxes are squares ! Greetings HP

Learn more minor scales positions and know how and when to use it. Long term goals: To get a good expression in a Rock & Blues context; To be flexible on any speed and any form of blues and rock and have a freedom on improvisation over the whole fretboard; To become as well a well-rounded rhythm player (Rock, Blues and Funk); Last but not least I want to be able to write good songs. …

Greetings to all... I'm kinda out of action as far as practicing with hands on the guitar for now and will post about this in another area. I would like to take a moment to reflect on what one does when he/she sets up a practice plan. It is good to, let's say, set up to practice starting with 1/2 hour a day and work my way to, say, 2 hours. Every day. You design your stretch time warm up (chromatics what ever) work scales, then chord progressions then play or continue writing a song. What did you accomplish? do you know what you accomplished? Along with your routine it (in my humble opinion) would be essential to set a goal. This goal could be for each prac…
