New System - 21.4.12 It has been 4 weeks ago since it became a fact that I will be leaving guitartricks.com. Since this was a major inpact in my whole working system I really needed to think what will be in the future. I did not meet anybody for longer time to be alone to really think all this over and now here are my findings which I do believe will be my path for the coming years. 1. After being an instructor for 6 years at guitartricks.com I am now unfortunately forced to quit. Somehow I am happy about this since the workload on the technical side ( video shoots, editing, cutting, track production ) has really become quite big in the past 2 years. I still was able to do it since I felt responsible for all students which gave me feedbacks, asked for specific new tutorials but on the other hand more and more I was not able to be creative anymore which made me very unhappy in the past 12 months. Here now some news from the past weeks. 1. I had some great concerts in the past weeks. I want to online 2 of them. The one was with the Band Hazzada Jazz where we performed some Jazz from the great american songbook. I dont play Jazz very often and so I needed to pratice pretty much to get my Jazz - skills back to professional level. But it was worth. I really enjoyed it and the band and the people who listened liked my playing very much - I would love to play more Jazz and so we will broadcast a concert in the next weeks from the studio in Egg. Starting 2012 Since my last blog entry so much has happened - the really intensive phase began now in Jan 2012. Last year I have decided to put more energy into liveplaying and I have started to change my practice routines in order to get on my vision of my playing level and it is working pretty well. Now when I get up I start to practice instead of making any kind of office work. This is a big changment and it works. Now here the results 1. 2011 Blog Looking back to 2011 the main events which happened were that on the one hand I really got my work on a very good level since I moved it into my studio in Egg. I was booked out with students the most time and my guitarlessons on guitartricks.com have been very popular since I changed my teaching style to a new system. Changments Its has been a while since my last blog entry - nearly 6 months - wow. In my last blob entry I was writting about some health problems and as a result my plan slow things down. So what happened since then ? Actually a lot My health problems ( unfortunatly with hands ) have forced me to think about several things and priorities in playing and in life. It has been again a long time since my last blog entry. It has of course a reason. I was forced to slow things down because unpredicable health problems showed up and they put my career in danger. Since march 11 I suddenly have problems with both hands. Its not so bad that I can't play guitar anymore but still it is something I have to think about. I got several opinions what the cause might be of these problems. Till now there is no unique diagnosis. I personally believe that it is now time to slow down things. Performing 1. After the experiences of this year it came more and more clear that I neglected my live - perfoming too much in the past years. I was too busy with all kind of internet - projects and composing. So I made a serios desicion in August 10 to change my life and somehow get back into the life-perfomring scene which I missed for more then 10 years. Summer 2010 It has been a while since my last blog entry. It was a pretty crazy summer this summer 2010 - so many different things were going on that its a bit hard to get all down in order. CD Releases 2010 It has been a bit quite in the past weeks and months. I have been very busy with the final work and the preparations of a major CD release. I did not release any music since 3 years. Redesign of HanspeterKruesi.com I has taken some time but now finally the new design material is finished and online. Many of you always mentioned that my online education system is on - if not THE best in the entire internet but the view and design of the webpage did not really bring out this fact. 2009 - 2010 Now since 2009 is slowy coming to an end it is time to review what all happened since this was one of or even the wildest year I ever had with a lot of up's and down's and extrems in all parts of life. The summary of challenges and problems was that big that it was very hard to decide what shall have priority. 23.9.09 It has been a bit quite over the summer now in my blog. There were several private reasons for that but also a lot of changements with projects therefore I needed to talk with a lot of people to get things organized. Summer report It has been a while since my last blog entry. I was pretty busy because I had to move out of my place I live because of health problems. Some of you might noticed in the last videos that I used to have a running nose. Something at my place caused these problems and they had even got worse. Future plans I have been working very hard since the beginning of September 08. Believe it or not - Since then I have been working nearly 7 days a week to get all things done which had to be done and to push new ideas forward. It was a very hard but also very successful time since we think back to the movie I scored, the Hollywood placement, becoming a featured artist at taxi.com, getting signed by international digital music distribution companies, having a whole concert series realized with 7 color - concerts performing each time 7 originals on piano and guitar. I currently am one of the featured artists at taxi.com. Seems like my idea getting a composer for TV, movie which I started at the end of 08 is more and more becoming real. I have been performing on guitar in the world famous Palace hotel in St. Moritz yesturday. http://www.badruttspalace.com/ . I have been playing in many first class hotels in my career, but THIS was in fact something very special. I wouldn't say that I liked the place - it is too much on high society and too much super rich people - but I have been there - and you should have seen the faces of the people when I parked my old fiat punto in front of the hotel beside all those rollce royes, bentleys, maybach's and other cars. The looked at me as I would be an alien. :-D Greets HP
