It has in fact been quite a while since I did my last guitar performance. This is a spontanious original recording where I felt like playing a dark blues rock guitar with a shuffle groove. I really love that Drop D tuning sound this gives it a great vibe and fits great for a distorted blues guitar solo. I really love those riff and sounds with the Drop D tuning since D minor is such a powerful key and gives this great vibe which works best on blues rock. This is now my latest CD " Spanish Guitar Improvisation " I have collected different recordings I did on the spanish guitar to one CD because I want to highlight this kind of guitar playing in my musical expression more. My most important guitar teacher Juan Martinez at music university always told me that I should focus on spanish guitar because he thought my musical expression is really natural and great. It was about time to pick up my acoustic Nylon guitar and play some spanish guitar. I call it " Sad Spanish Romance ". I composed a song to some wonderful chords I created on my guitar and recorded this one here for you. It was first take - it's basicly an original. First try recorded. I wanted to keep the moment for you. I hope you enjoy my little excursion into the world of flamenco, Paco de Lucia and spanish guitar.

I had a jazz vibe today in the studio so I switched on my guitar and played this improvised original in the vibe of one of my idols - Miles Davis with his CD " Birth of the cool " - It's a little homage to this great jazz artist. This is a spontanious flamenco guitar recording which I created to describe the passionate energy which can be created between 2 people - specialy in a loving connection.
