Abm7 / Abm7 / Dbm7 / Dbm7
On Abm7 you play Ab aeolian and on the Db dorian. I wrote down the patterns which you can used as a guiding line over this simple progression. The key is probably a bit challenging but it sounds way nicer then the regular keys which are used. On the licks you might analyize that the play around the 9th of each chords which is the Bb over the Abm7 chord and the Eb over the Dbm7 chord. Also it makes your sound very rich when you use the Gb major triad over the Abm7 chord and the Ab minor triad over the Dbm7 chord. This is called upper-structure-triads and they really open up your sound to give you that cinematic vibe.
