Tomorrow is my birthday so I wanted to have all work finished to be able to celebrate it a bit tomorrow since I am going through a lot of hard working times in the last weeks. I wasn't even able to make a few days during my " official " holidays in summer. But here are the results :

I have changed the entire design of my german website and adapted it the the design of hanspeterkruesi.com. The main new thing are the private online lessons. They are switched to HD video format now and actually they are really great. I have finished a assignement for a movie about Kenya where I was asked to compose some music for it. That wasn't easy at all even that I lived in Nairobi for 2 years when I was I kid. You can check the music I made at http://www.music-pictures.com/afrika .

Guitartricks is going through some major changements which will be coming soon. This kept me busy for many weeks to get those standards on video editing they were asking for. But I guess it will be worth - I heard some very exiting news which I will announce as soon as it has come to real.

I also heard a few of your songs that you have posted, I dont remember on what site. Some were just beautiful.

Do you have any success in selling your songs on the web ? Do you feel that there's a market for instrumental music

Do you actually compose music for singers ?

I dont have ambitions of selling mine but I guess it's just to protect my copyrights that I dont allow people to download my songs on soundclick without paying for.

You never know when one could become a hit if it would be stolen by some musician or producer.

As I was saying to Jim , before Christmas I think I'm going to pay myself a day in a professionnal recording studio to record some of the songs ( 2 or 3 )

that I have composed. It's not too expensive , about 275 $ per day so I may try the experience.

My recording capability is very basic It's just good enough to have a good idea of what songs may sound like

Well the sellings are not outstanding but OK. And there is a market for instrumental music - currently I am working on some new stuff which will work out very good. I started this with a few liveperformances in spring 08 with the new concept and it was very successful - now I am working on a new CD and I will record a pure guitar CD next.

 

I compose instrumental music for music libraries such as the one of Swiss national TV and I got a contract in spring 08 in Hollywood for my instrumental music.

That's pretty cheap. You could give a shot - or you could work out producing your own music at your professional homestudio. In thes days you don't have to pick up that much money.
