This course will guide you through the basics you need to know about playing smooth jazz guitar. This includes the theoretical knowledge of modes and how to use them in a smooth jazz environment in combination with regular improvisation techniques and ideas with pentatonics. Even pentatonics work in smooth jazz the modes are also needed to get the vibe of smooth jazz.

Rhythm and rhythm studies are also part of this course which are essential to play a proper smooth jazz guitar.

In order to follow this course here you need to be an intermediate player who at least fullfilled the requierements of the intermediate blues guitar course since blue and smooth jazz have a very similar improvisation concept with motives and developing motive driven solo and improvisation ideas.

It is recommended that you already know the theory about modes but you can also follow this course without this knowledge and learn to work with modes by doing these exercises which are posted here.
