After a quick analysis, here are main problems.

1. not in the pocket.
2. not following the changes.
3. substituted the 1,5, open D, 3 chords with 1, open D, 3 chords (the 5 was too hard to reach).
4. melody phrasing meanders, always ends on a long note, and does not following changes (not nailing the chord tones).

Back to the woodshed ...

Yes following the chords is missing but since there are only 3 chords you have enough  time to check that out. Less notes and more following the chords is a good key. 🙂

Cool to see your video - I heard some interesting ideas that you were jamming on and I am really looking forward to hearing your next version too.  Nice guitar too - I am a fan of the P90 sound, so I like that particular Yamaha model and hope to try it out someday.  🙂
