Foxy Lady ( Jimi Hendrix )- Guitar Lesson

In this tutorial I'll show you how to play the song Foxy Lady by Jimi Hendrix as played at Miami pop 1968 live. On this live recording you can clearly see the fingering of Jimi Hendrix so I decided to pick that recording and show you how to play the main guitar riff and give you some inspiration how to do some solo guitar in the wild style of Jimi Hendrix. Jimi Hendrix used to tune his guitar on Eb but I have made a version which is played on normal tuned guitar.  I also checked his fingering on the live recording and I show you the way he plays the guitar riff  but I also show you an alternative fingering which is probably easier for most of your players out there.  Even though there are recordings of Jimi Hendrix playing this song I do believe that he never meant it to be extremely precise. I think the wildness in his playing is part of his trademark style and so when it comes to the guitar solo I show you how to play wild and that is exactly what's Jimi Hendrix playing was all about.
