Hi :)

My gear is:

-Epiphone Les Paul Standard Pro

-Marshall JTM 30 1x12 with a Celestion Speaker

- BB-AT Preamp

- Carl Martin Dual Compressor Limiter

- Keeley Super Phat Mod

- MXR Phase 90 Script '74 reissue

- MXR Carbon Copy analog delay

Now I just need to learn how to play it properly :D

Thats a cool Amp - is it with Valves ? ? and the playing will come - just keep the practicing up ?

Yes, it has 3 x ecc83s preamp and 2 x 6L6s.

It sounds good even in neighbour friendly volumes. Pretty warm.

I'll get around to this probably tomorrow. There's a hockey game coming on in a few. Ok, I love hockey and we have a great team in Tampa :)

I play through a small Fender Mustang I/II solid state.

Les Paul Standard Pro Epiphone

Les Paul Studio 100 Epiphone

Squire Strat

I have pedals however, I don't use them.

I do have a signed Kirk Hammett Wah wah. I met him back in the early 80's before anyone knew who was.

I have more gear. However, just sitting or standing in my bedroom I don't need a lot. That small Fender kills it.

I believe in learning to use what you have is always the best trick....once you practice enough and that gear isn't getting you to where you want to go, try out new stuff!

My gear is very simple - just an acoustic guitar:  the Lag Tramontane 88.  It is a no-frills model but has a solid spruce top which makes a big difference to the sound I think.

I used to play electric guitar too when I was younger and I hope I can get an electric guitar again someday.  I still have to convince my husband who does not understand why anyone needs more than one guitar (sigh) so in the meantime I am enjoying my acoustic life.

Hi...

Guitars

If I gig(ed) ...I play a Eastman Acoustic Dreadnought or a smaller Sigma , A Zoom A5 Pedal and a Looper.

On the electric side I play Strat most of the time, but have Tele, Semi etc.

I have plenty guitars, but until today I admit: I still dont have my real No1 where everything fits  ?

Anyway... if I feel good I can play something on every guitar. (with correct tuners and strings ?).

Momentary I play a cheap self built Strat,  because the neck is small and it is very dynamic what I like.

Amps

I prefer my cheap 50Watt Tube Amp in the practice Room. https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/SubZero-Tube-H50R-50W-Valve-Guitar-Amp-Head-Nearly-New/RUA preview.jpg

At home I play a cheap Fame Tube5 Amp fame-tube-5-special-207661.jpg&f=1&nofb=or with DrivePedals and the NUX SolidStudio and Headphone.

I also have a Marshall Haze Amp and some more Amps .. but these two are the ones I prefer in the moment.

Pedals:

This is my pedalboard. It changes all the time. I  have built a lot of guitar pedals because - I can -? .I feel The King of Tone is the best Drive - because of the schematic and the oldstock (fast) diodes inside. It is very dynamic. I dont gig with electric guitar and so it is just a hobby. For years I put all my small money only in the music gear because: (Who knows? ?  )

I hope you can see the pics.

I do have an Ibanez, acoustic electric that i play like crazy. I have a Line 6 that gets used as a live amp....too loud to use at home!

Thats nice - I will be starting with regular acoustic guitar tutorials in the next days.

Great news!  I saw your new acoustic guitar and was hoping that it would be appearing in an upcoming lesson soon.  ?

Interesting to read about your gear.  It must be cool to be able to build your own guitar/pedals.

When I used to play electric guitar in my 20s, I found I would spend too much time fiddling with the settings on my pedals instead of practicing/rehearsing - is that why you do not use them?   My solution at that time was to limit myself to just using the overdrive pedal with very rare use of the wah wah pedal for a few songs.

Good question Sara. Back in my 20's I was a big gear hog. However, I was playing in bands and had the money to buy pretty much whatever, I felt I needed. Today, I have become a get up a go player. If I want to play electric I just turn on an amp. I have 2 amazing Modeling amps that pretty much give me what I want for what I want to play as far as effects go. If I want to go outside and play I just grab my acoustic. Pretty simple :)

My Digitech RP-360 is fubar so I spent the morning searching through You Tube's multi-effect pedal reviews. My current favorite is Jam Pedals Pink Flow, but I need something a little cheaper. Any recommendations?

Mooer has some cool and pretty good stuff for an affordable price.

http://www.mooeraudio.com/

I almost ordered a GE-250 from Reverb.com but ended up buying a Boss GT-1 at my local Portman's Music store. There were two things that drove me crazy during set up. One, the expression pedal default was a volume pedal and the pedal was set to 0db. It took me a long time to figure out why I wasn't getting any sound out of it. Two, my Windows 10 mic privacy setting was causing an error with the PC interface.  I got both those sorted so next I will be exploring some new tones.

Expression pedals are always tricky to handle - when I owned the GE-200 the expression pedal worked but it was tricky to make the setup. On my AXE FX III - it works better but also there it was the most tricky part of the setup.

The AXE FX III is pro level cool, I figure I can start small and can always upgrade later. Then I can give my old gear to a nephew.
