The year 2014 has been pretty intense since I went into the consolidation phase of what I have begun in 2013. This was mainly building up an extend online presence which to suffice today’s needs in social media networking and monetized streaming content. Since I have divided my work into 3 parts this was quite a challenge which left nearly no free minute during the entire year. I must say I probable would now do such a big project this way again but I am happy with the results and it was worth but I must say my private life suffered pretty much under this pressure but somehow I got through this year. Since the main work is now done I am sure that 2015 will be much more relaxed and I will focus more on personal relations in private life. But now lets check what happened in 2014.

The most successful product is HPCrazy.com with a growing number of subscribers on the YouTube channel ( relaunched 2013 ) with currently around 3900 subscribers and over 40000 views per month and 756000 overall views. My presence as a guitar player with online eduction and guitar music turned out to work best which is not because of good luck. My past presence as highly featured guitar player on worldwide leading websites from 2006 - 2012 ( guitartricks.com and gibson.com ) helped pretty much to overcome the starters gap where you need to struggle for every view and new subscriber. When I relaunched the entire HPCrazy system I was not sure if it will work out without those prior big networks but it did and I am personally very happy about this because guitar playing always was my main passion.
In Nov. I started with my HPCrazy Academy ( http://www.hpcrazy.com/academy.htm ) which is a entire concept of learing guitar from my YouTube channel, private online lessons, private lessons in Switzerland and till the possibility to make an high profile education with the possibility to finish with the HPCrazy diploma. That was always an idea which I had when I started teaching in 1998 but now my students which I have really are going for it and to name one in special who really took a first intense year to open up to a deeper understanding of the guitar. The main focus of my HPCrazy education is to reach a deep connection with music and the individual guitar playing. Therefore I developed several different methods and concepts in order to make this connection as easy as possible. There is a lot of psychology behind it and feedback’s from all over the world have showed that it really works on any playing level.
What was very difficult for me that I suffered from a nailbed infection which pulled me out of playing for months and I am still in the recover phase. I can play again now but I still have to watch that I don't push it too hard. The amazing thing is that I feel that now I finally reached the point of my guitar playing where I am able to play anything I like and express myself the way I want. This is great since I have been working all these years to get this feeling that I master the guitar and I control my guitar and not that the guitar controls me.
Colour Music – Farbmusik
In 2014 I kept on doint live performances in Switzerland at small and hand choosen places. The majority of my spectators report that my music really touches them deeply and most of them come back at later concerts. Unfortunately I am not really good in organization and till now I still could not find a real solid solution which would help to make the organization of concerts easier. So it is building up slowly – not as fast as I would like but I see progress going on.
In spring I started to build up the YouTube channel with a lot of wonderful video's. http://www.youtube.com/user/musicpictures – all those video's where shot with my Samsung mobile phone at very special places around Switzerland and at special times or occasions. I have been travelling a lot to shot all that footage and I needed to learn a little bit of video editing to make the video's the way I always wanted. The YouTube channel is partnered with TheOrchard which distributes the video's also to other networks and currently gets around 5000 views per month
The online presence of colour music is building up – the twitter account gets pretty much recognition with approx. 600 followers after one year.
The release “ Medition Piano 432Hz “ is my overall most successful CD release with over 25000 streams on spotify since it came out. The song yellow got over 1500000 streams in a 3rd party video on YouTube.

This part of my artistic expression got a bit negated this year. I was able to build and polish the piano agency, played quite a number of shows and I completed the online presence with the new YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/pianoagency – the piano agency gets good feedback's and I noticed that since there is an english translation of it available that I started to get international request for playing bigger shows. So it really starts to make sense to play a bit more piano and make a cross promotion between colour music and pianist.ch

Now what is to come ? I feel that I did a lot of work from 2013 – 2014 to make all necessary changements and leaded them to success but personally I got tired of working so much and specially in parts which are not my core business. Now since the system is set I feel that now I can add my creative work as on-going releases to my different distribution systems and so through my work I layed a tool for my work which now can develeop and grow and now I can really concentrate on the creative parts of my work. I feel that I now want to take my live playing abbilites to a constant high level and go out playing. This also means playing with others or contribute my playing and creativ abilities to interesting projects.
