Innocent Melody ( Tatjana Nikic )

I have signed Tatjana Nikic and release her first album " Innocent Melody " - I love the wonderful approach and touch in her music.

 

“Innocent Melody” is my first solo album in which I play the piano as I’ve always dreamed. I had
the wonderful opportunity to play the marvelous Steinway Grand Piano in the Reform Church of
Egg, a beautiful little village near Zürich. Recording was done in one day, with every piano piece
recorded twice. The second take was used for the CD.

The songs in this collection summarize my work over a long period of time and were composed in
different places and under different personal situations. In many ways, they reflect the people who
came into my life and left an indelible trace on my feelings. “Innocent melody” thus is a very
personal story of my music and my life to date.

I cannot describe this album in terms of a standard genre. The music just broke over me like a wave
of emotions and rolled through me, with the tempo and rhythm of the music expressing perceptions
of movement, color, and people that are impossible for me to describe in words. It all happens
unconsciously, not analytically; appreciation of the results only comes after.
I hope that, by listening to my music, people can experience even a small part of the joy that I had
in performing it.
