Last years i have been playing around ........................

its time now to make it serious -- got enough time -- life oscillate more and more in the right Swing.........

my beginner plan:

1 - 3 hours a day with breaks from 1/2 until 4 hours depence on what is there to do -- Family--Friends--Job.

1. Chromatik and Pentatonic exercises beginning with Metronome than freely.

2. Classic rock ideas slowly than more and more fastly i just love this!

3.Powerchords slowly and than trying to get the rhytm and speed of the soundclips from HD

4. just playing around and imrovisations - very loud and let the hot rod vibrate - i love it - wife daughter dog and neighbours not really!

5. the strumming song from HD get back to rythm and picking feeling a bit silent feeling - like it.

Ok Dieter

Hi Dieter,

this sounds very promissing what you are planing.

I would make one suggestion that you also work on improvisation concepts as described :

Actually blues and rock are very much related so you can switch ideas from the blues inprovisation to rock and opposite.

Classic rock stuff is very good to develope technical skills.

I also would suggest that you start to work with scales - not only pentatonics since you are willing to pratice that much. :)

Good morning HP and all Members here!

Your Tip although to worke with scales and of course i recognized get more int theory is a good idea!

I recognize thats the part i have been always a bit facile with.

The past days i`ve been thinking about that more - and exercising on guitar- here and there i beginn to see a bit through .

I want to go through even it is a bit heavy for me .

Thank you

Dieter

Fretboard geographics is a major topic when you are learning to play. So any kind of trick which helps you is of course good.

My system which I teach and works out fine with scales is also to learn that each scale is a summary of intervalls. Once you get into modes this is a great help and allows you to save a lot of time. I think this is a topic which I could consider making a tutorial series.
