geomin3515 reacted to admin in From Pentatonics To ModesNearly 100% of the guitar players who are interested to start working with modes come from the pentatonic. Here you find an easy way to convert your pentatonic patterns into the mode of your selection. You need to know the minor and the major pentatonic and then you are ready to go. The trick is that you know your pentatonic patterns by heart and also the intervals which are played in the patterns. To move from the pentatonic patterns to modes you just need to add 2 more notes. This tutorial is a " MUST HAVE " for all players who are sick of playing pentatonics all the time.
Here I show you in detail how to proceed and in practical use how to start working with modes.

geomin3515 reacted to admin in You Got Another Thing Coming ( Judas Priest )Here I am showing the main parts of the song “ You Got Another Thing Coming “ by Judas Priest. There are two rhythm guitars which are playing together and creating this really great heavy metal groove. Rhythm guitar number one seems to be very easy but you have to be extremely precise and steady in your palm muted rhythm guitar playing. The anticipations which I am showing are played mainly on the 4+ and are extremely important for a very groovy heavy metal guitar. Even if you are an experienced guitar player don't underestimate this rhtyhm guitar.
Rhythm guitar number 2 is the recognizable part of the song “ You got another thing coming “by Judas Priest and it's pretty cool to play. Literally all parts of this written guitar are played as anticipations on the 4+. So make sure you are pretty comfortable with counting your timing during playing guitar.
If you play both written guitars very precise you really created stunning and wide sound which makes this song recognizable and cool to listen to.
The lead guitar which I'm showing you are some ideas which are pretty easy to play since the tempo of this song is 130 BPM you might be happy that you have some easy ideas which you can play on the F sharp minor blues pentatonic. It is not the original solo but still is very cool and works a pretty fine and is not so demanding from the technical side. Play some study pentatonic lines on the three positions of the F sharp minor pentatonic and on the roof front you play some cool repeating patterns and by adding your Wahwah to the sounds and you create a really stunning lead guitar. It is worth to go through all chapters but he you found the four chapters which are included in this longer heavy metal guitar tutorial.

geomin3515 reacted to admin in Creative Minor BluesCreative Minor Blues - Guitar Lesson
In this guitar lesson I talk about creativity on the guitar in minor blues. The guitar minor blues is probably the most demanding genre on lead guitar because it is so slow and you have a lot of time to make wrong notes, wrong moves - basically just too many notes. So simplicity is the key to success in this genre.
In this tutorial I show you a simple theme and how to develop it from scratch and how to really develop your own creativity and your own expression with very simple tricks and motives. This type of minor blues I am showing you goes in the ballpark of Gary Moore, Rose Tattoo and Rory Gallagher.

geomin3515 reacted to admin in Midnight Blues ( Snowy White )Here you can learn the magic which is behind the song Midnight Blues by Snowy White. Somebody recommend this song to me and wanted to know if I can do a tutorial about it so I analyzed this song and wanted to find out why became so popular even though there is no official recording available on YouTube. There are three things which make the magic of this song. First of all to Form. It is a simple musical form with the chords E minor C and D but the way they are arranged through the song and the way the arrangement is building up makes the real magic of this song I give more information about this in the video but he'll find the chords displayed. I have skipped the intro.

2 : The second signature thing is the sound of the lead guitar. One part of the sound is the sound setting which is probably a vibrolux amp or something similar and the other part is the playing technique as you create this sweet sound which is basically just played with the E minor Pentatonic. I'll show you some tricks and some examples how you can get this sweet sound and how you can have a dynamic expression with his clean sound which has only reverb as an effect.
3 : The third signature thing is the catching the moment of an emotion into music. Blues is a music style which has a lot to do with emotion the sadness and loss and if you don't feel the same emotions probably you cannot play blues. From my personal experience and the experience of other players I know that the best recordings happened in moments where you really feel this moment of sadness and loss or slight depression. But of course you can also play blues if you don't feel sad but at least you have the experience that you probably lost a dear friend or lost your relation partner or something similar and you can put these emotions into your play.
