I spent a lot of time on this tutorial today. I don't know much about jazz yet. In your videos, you show us all the chords you use.
But I need to dive a little deeper to really understand why, for example, an Ab9(b13) makes sense.
I would like to take this opportunity to warmly recommend your accompanying data in the downloads.
Your PDF with the chords is already helpful here. However, your Guitar Pro file in combination with the first-class backing track is amazing!
I just added your MP3 to Guitar Pro 8 as an audio track. Both fit together perfectly right away. You are simply a pro. And not just on the instruments.
Now I can slowly increase the tempo while practicing. The notes and backing track fit together perfectly at all times.
Thank you for your first-class support.
I can only recommend everyone to take advantage of these opportunities with the premium membership.
    Thanks Hanspeter 👍

Here I talk about the crucial musical mindset you need to build up when you want to get serious about getting into advanced smooth jazz guitar. The first thing is that work out the priorities and build up your mindset while you are playing. Here are the priorities :
    Chord Progression
    Analysis
    Modes on the chords
Mixing with your current pentatonic and / or blues scale patterns and abilites
Building up your mindset in order to always first fullfill the priorities before you even play a first note
    Always keep things musicaly
    Enjoy the ride !

There have been several requests to get the tabs of the tutorials as Guitar Pro Files. I use this software with all my live students because it is extremly useful for learning because you can listen how the tabs sound, you can slow down the speed or you can loop a specific section where you are working on.
I STRONGLY recommend to use this software for learning guitar.
There are 2 versions available. The full software or the app. To learn it is enough to just get the app since the playback featured I mentioned above are functional in the app too.
If you want to get the software or the app at a reduced price you can use this link here :

From now on all tutorials come again with the Guitar Pro Files for download.

There are so many tutorials where I have a Guitar Pro File stored but not added in the download section. So here is how we can proceed :

Here I show you a swinging shuffle blues guitar riff by using a technique which you know from artists like SRV. Even the riff is probably something you already know - there is a lot of " meat " in this tutorial and it's worth it for you to check it out.

Hello Greg,  that's a good thought. I've also asked myself this question. How would a hearing aid affect my daily practice on the guitar? Especially as I have to play a lot with headphones so as not to disturb the neighbors and my wife.  I'll probably take them out when I'm practicing with headphones, because they are already a kind of hearing aid. I'm looking forward to your experiences. Thanks in advance, Roland

The topic is very exciting for me and I am also looking forward to further episodes. Again and again I have doubts about my guitar (besides my limited technical skills) and especially about my various modeling settings. I use a Line 6 HX Stomp. This is just one of many modeling devices on the market. But all these devices have one thing in common. The possibilities are overwhelming. And last but not least, I personally lack the right understanding of the crucial sequence of effects. So obviously the only correct way is to proceed step by step. Greetings, Roland
