  11. I Love It! and yes it is hell... I have had the hardest time playing with a click track. I can play if a drum track is already laid out but if I have to play to a click track to send to the drummer and bass player's, I lose my mind. This helps me to focus and it's indeed getting easier to play with a click track... Awesome Thanks!

  14. Greetings HP! Well, I have been absent for some time. Some 6 months ago my hands went numb. It's taken 6 months to be scheduled for surgery. Dr Kim is the Best Hand surgeon in the state and tells me I will make a full recovery. I have Sevier Carpel Tunnel in both Wrists. Dr Kim says it's common in long time Guitar Players who do not pay attention to the way they are holding they hands when playing. So I have gone back to the beginning and studying Music and Guitar Theory. Hands off. this has been good for me as far as that goes. After my surgery in the next month I will have to start from scratch (will kinda I guess I did play for 60 years) with my hands in position as to not re create this problem and stay healthy into my 90's like Les Paul and BB King. We can play into old age... It is so important to do it right. I would love to receive a certificate and work hard again to be a good player. Being with you for over 12 years has helped me immensely though I am usually in the background. I would really like to be more involved, everyday, and commit to being the best player I can be... and I know I can... It's what I have lived for all my life... Thanks HP... Talk soon!
  15. Nice work Sara! my hands are getting better, I'm using a talk to text as My hands are wrapped currently. getting better but I can use the mouse and dictate. Keep up that awesome work!

  17. That's an excellent Idea. My phone is so bad. Very bad, so much bad. I don't have an iPhone so... I'll be upgrading soon. but for a few weeks my hands are out of action and I have a new board, Tascam Model 12. Interphase/Recorder/Midi Controller, My hands at the moment, Using talk to text at the moment. one finger typing is, well it hurts... I'll be back soon. Ugh... Thanks...
  18. I was trying to used my phone cause my board went out. the sound is horrid, LoL. I just got a new board. Tascam Model 12. New board new learning curve. My hands have decided to flare up as well. I am use talk to type now cause it's just to painful to even one finger type. Ugh. My fingers just lock up this time of year. I'll get it fingered out soon (haha, I made a funny, lol) I used StudioOne to record and mix. I'll have it figured out soon... and the expierence. I need much more of that. Have the cool gear, just need to learn out to use it. I'll be back soon.
  19. Wow.. Sorry Y'all, Been pre occupied with a few rabbit holes I've been going down. I'm trying to record the Balade challenge and My phone does horrible sounding videos, I'm still getting used to Windows for doing videos, I've been a Linux user for many many years. Windows has come a long way since I've used it. I'm thinking of going to Mac but for now I have a pretty rock'n Windows machine. Got a ton to get done today before I can practice and then back to learning to make videos with this machine... Any Help would be much appreciated... Peace...

  26. It's a Special so the tail piece... wait, no tail piece.. only a bridge saddle kind of combo? hahahah... I love it. great for muting...
  27. So I named her Woodstock. Strange I know, but all my Guitars are Girls and this one, well it just felt right. She plays pretty awesome, I'll have it in the video for the challenge. A few days...
  28. I do like to coach, it's different than what you do for sure. Maybe as the next few years go maybe I can. I have a few kind of students here in the community I live in. I give them charts for chords and play with them. It's more of a coaching. I do like my charts... LoL... I will try this. All about science... I'll keep ya posted for sure...
  29. Excellent! Ok. I'll try this challenge Very cool tune. I have the Digital CD of this. Very cool Indeed... thanks!
  30. It's what works for me. I have friends that only use computer apps for study, charts, tabs and what not. I just take it in better when I put my hands on it. I retain it better. My focused Practice time is one hour a day. My focus is Theory, (Right now, maybe next month it will be Creativity), but in that hour I have 6, 10 minute blocks. blocks 1, 3 and 5 are Theory. blocks 2, 4 and are Technique, block 6 is always Creativity. I know kinda very structured but I seem to retain it better. After Focused Practice is hours and hours of random playing with some more unstructured Theory. at a minimum I have a guitar in my lap of 4 hours a day. Maximum of 12 a few days a week. Switching from Acoustic to Electric. I'm Retired now and I figured.. Why not be my own Rock Star, or play at the local Coffee Shops. Maybe teach? Nah, Tried that after college, I do not have the patience for that. I admire music teachers, nerves of steel. But One must take time for rest. Listen to music, or the wind. Take time for just yourself, family, all that. It's healthy...
  31. I just got a Les Paul Special. I love this guitar. so I plugged in and followed your advise. I'm thinking I wasted a bunch of time trying pedals and different plug-in's for distortion. Exactly the sound I was looking for. it's amazing. and the LP... LoL... well it's just amazing. was up all night playing. I used this technique you just shared with me and wrote a song... Pretty cool... thanks!!!
