Kevin Simmons got a reaction from Randy in Rhythm CourseI just saw your post about the extended rhythm course idea. I think it is a great idea. I have realized that a strong foundation in rhythm and timing is the first thing to master in they journey of learning guitar. I have mostly been playing bluegrass on acoustic and recently have had the urge to get back into playing electric and work on my rock rhythm and timing techniques. I look forward to what you have to offer in the rhythm course.

Kevin Simmons got a reaction from Randy in Extra Content for Premium Members & Award SystemI would like to learn more about how to begin improvising a solo over chord progressions in rock and blues. Do you use sets of licks pieced together to form a solo? How do you follow the chord changes to make it sound right? Basically what goes on in the mind of a experienced player when they are improvising. What are the steps to take to begin improvising?

Kevin Simmons got a reaction from Nick ODonoghue in Become A Better Rock Rhythm GuitarI am so glad to see you talk about the importance of counting and feeling the rhythm. So many other guitar instructors do not teach it. This is a very helpful lesson!

Thats a good topic which can be learnt in a course here - I thinkt that makes total sense because there might also be questions showing up which can be posted here..... and you can not learn this in one tutorial - like on YouTube. It's a longer process and one needs to build up experience in that. 🙂

Hey guys,
I am thinking about making an extra section only for premium members - like extra lessons extra long lessons or further explainations. This will be a section only accessable for premium members and I will post like one or 2 extra videos there. Since it's for you guys out there - let me know your thoughts about this. What extra should such lesson need to have ?
One thing which is already on my mind to provide the courses which can be done to prepare for the Awards in the HPCrazy Guitar Academy. Awards would be :

Kevin Simmons reacted to admin in Become A Better Rock Rhythm GuitarHey Kevin, yes rhythm and timing is very important. It makes 50% of the musicical expression. I am planing to do specific lessons just on rhythm to work this out. I had it on my mind quite a while but forgot it over the x-mas time. Good that you remind me about that. 🙂

Kevin Simmons reacted to admin in Become A Better Rock Rhythm GuitarHere you can learn how to become a better Rock rhythm guitar player. This tutorial is for all rock guitar players out there who want to become really steady rhythm machines such as Malcolm Young or Mike Whiteford's of Aerosmith. Having a real steady and tight Rock Rhythm guitar means that you involve your whole body into the Rhythm while you're playing and that you are counting the beats 1 2 3 4 consciously. So this tutorial is about how to do you train your whole body in your whole system to play rock chords with a typical rock technique and moving your foot to the beat and counting and having the whole system going simultaneously. Some exercises seem like to be total beginner exercises but if you have never done this to exercises before and you are an intermediate or even a pro guitar player you really need to have those exercise done properly. I can only speak of my own experience that I underestimated those exercises a lot when I just left my music University and I learned the hard way but if you haven't done the basics right you are not able to play complex stuff tight and in the proper timing. So just go through those exercise I'm showing you and if you're able to do all of them properly and all in different tempo’s then you don't have to do these exercises anymore. These exercises are the basis of everything when it comes to rhythm rock guitar.

Kevin Simmons reacted to admin in Easy Guitar Pro Licks - Slow RockEasy Guitar Pro Licks - Slow Rock
In this tutorial I talk about slow rock and how to play a professional sounding cool guitarsolo with only 3 guitarlicks. The licks are very easy to play. I am showing you them first and then how you can create great variations with bendings, vibrato and accelerated vibrato at the end of the long notes you are playing. Every position on the fretboard has its secrets and tricks - so I talk with you about that. Beside that I show you one show-off guitar lick where you can push your guitar solo to a cool pro level and the good news is, it’s not so hard to play. I also talk about the playing philosophy - it’s more important to play intense then perfect. Therefore I give you some cool instructions and ideas which can help you to do that.
