Watched this movie again yesterday!

Lake of Fire or Where Did You Sleep Last Night. Both songs were made famous when Nirvana did them during their unplugged recordings. The Meat Puppets recorded them first. Nirvana only played them live to lengthen their live unplugged set. Lead Belly recorded these songs back in the 30's. He also did versions of House of the Rising Sun and Black Betty as well as Gallows Pole and Good Night Irene. It amazes me when you listen to all the old bluesmen you hear these songs and realize they have all been done before and handed down to a newer generation to rediscover them!

Have you ever thought about covering any of the old Lead Belly songs?

There is only one cover of that song that I have come across that is really any good. Social D tunes down a half step and uses capos.

I think this one would benefit the community the most. 2 guitars 2 different lead parts. I love this song. However, there are others that are favs. but no one will learn much from a lot of the other songs the rest are easy. Bakersfield is interesting also.

This is the first time seeing this. I like it. It's interesting, a little different then what I'm used to hearing them play. It would be cool to learn this! However, Hanspeter you are the captain of this ship and I'm along for the ride! Whatever, you choose is good by me!
