New Website Online Now !
1 pointIt was really about time that I overworked the entire website now and made the whole thing as compact and cooperate identity look style as possible. Now I am proud to announce that the new website is online now. Check : http://www.hanspeterkruesi.com The idea was always to pull all my services and all my work to one website and now it's done. One of the main hard tasks was that there are in fact so many services and projects. They are still all out there but all roads and links will now lead to this website here. This important update is also part of my new strategy I worked on since more than one year to free myself from all social media plattforms. I don't believe that they will have a consistant future as they had in the past. Many users are upset by them changing community guidelines all the time only for their advantage and the abuse of there personal data on this plattforms. Here on this website your personal data is completly save and will never be used for something else then the monthly newsletter and you can completly delete your data anytime. Also digital music distribution is overgoing dramatic changes. Spotify announced that only artists over 1000 streams per song will get any royalities payed out. Then earning of the artists which are below that will go to the bigger artists. That's something I can not support anymore. And there are now more and more restrictions for artist who want to distribute there music in Spotify and other plattforms. I will do special edition distribution here on this website - for music which is not allowed in the official stores anymore or just because I want to make my music faster available for users. So this is a major shift in my online and digital strategies. And as a personal note - when Facebook and co came up I knew this would not lead to something good and it was in fact a mistake to spend so much time keeping up on social media strategies. In these days the situation has changed so much that the ammount of time you have to spend to reach as much people as before as exceeded a healthy balance in the workflow. So this website is now my personal anwser to the developments which started to go in the wrong direction since 2018.1 point

Active members of this month : Rossi - I will make a tutorial upon his request in July. Greg - He was asking for a tutorial with jazz guitar comping Medikon - a very nice and detailed feedback around this blues guitar tutorial : ............. and now lets move on to the updates : New Department : Sound Lab The new department starts with the most important tutorial Pure Sound : Blues Easy Chord & Solo Combinations : Many of you have requested tutorials where you can learn how to make combinations with chords and solo in blues guitar. Here is a very easy approach to it on blues in G. Funk Blues Guitar Jam : Here I show you some advanced funk blues guitar chops which you can use in any funk blues guitar jam in the key of Dm. Rock 3 Classic Rock Guitar Mega Chops : Here I show you 3 cool classic rock guitar mega chops. Even these licks are for advanced players they are still in the range of easy mega chops. Chords with 2 stacks are triads and chords with 3 stacks result into 7th chords. You also learn what inversions are. ---------- Music I have decided to start producing music again an highlighting my efforts in my main genre grid which I call " Farbmusik " . Different then the normal genre classification I will put music in the catagories " red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet ". All new music will have the tag which also marks the color. Here we have new music. The description of the new farbmusik will come in german and english. Fly Dove Fly ( violet ) Here I have created a cinematic composition based on the style of Hans Zimmer, which will also be played live with some guitar effects. The key of F# minor is very emotional and expressive and matches the color "violet". I based the title on a scene from Kevin Costner's movie "Postman". Vampires Want To Live Forever ( red ) Here is a cinematic piece in the style of Hans Zimmer and color music. A dramatic "red" with a concert piano and a cello which provides the necessary dramaturgy. I will play all new songs live on the upcoming Farbmusik concerts. Don't miss the next one on July 21st - it will also be a livestreaming if you can not make it to the the small church in Seegräben Switzerland on that day. and last but not least I have made up a website around therapy music which you find here on this website. It targets the local audience but if you are interested in it you can contact me. http://www.sternentherpie.com You find a first bundle of therapy music here : https://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/members/files/category/1-healing-and-therapy-music/ and more to come. 1 pointHey guys, here is now the June 24 newletter : The good news is that the really busy times where I was distracted with many other things are more or less over. So I finally could pick up the ideas and strategies again which I was planning for this website. There are still quit a few ideas and projects which are in the pipline and will be revealed in the upcoming months. But now lets get started with the current news and updates : Guitar Beginners The 2nd lesson for total guitar beginners which takes you step by step through the total guitar beginners phase is now available. If you already passed this level but know friends who want to start to play guitar - you can share this information with them. Best Use Practice The 2nd entry on the Best Use practice is now available. Here you find all information on how to use the clubs in an optimal way. and here is a new free club download available for those who joined the Farbmusik Meditation Club now lets go to the new tutorials which are available : Blues There have been 2 tutorials added where you learn step by step to make combinations of chords and solo in blues guitar by using the " so-called " play-rest method. If you never done it before I strongly recommend that you check out these 2 tutorials : Rock Mystic Rock Ballad Guitar Licks : Here I show you some ideas how to create a mystic melodic rock ballad guitar solo with some nice licks. The backing track is from Whitesnakes " Is this Love " Long Way To Go ( Dead Daisies ) : Here I show you the main parts of the song " Long Way To Go " by Dead Daisies. I show you the main riffs and analyze the composition technique. Runnaway ( Bon Jovi ) Jazz Footprints ( Wayne Shorter ) : Here I show you how to play the theme and the chords of Wayne Shorters tune " Footprints " which is a minor blues in 3/4. Beside that I give you tips which modes to use on the improvisation and some tricks on how to improvise in 3/4. Basic Phrasing Exercises : Here I show you the basic phrasing exercises which are crucial to have a cool and laid back swing phrasing. These exercises seem to be very basic but you have to do all of them with your foot on 2 & 4. This is the most crucial thing when you want to have a really cool jazz guitar phrasing. together which this tutorial I did a spontanious recording which I really liked and it defines my new jazz guitar style which I have been working on since months. New Blog Entry Improvisation vs playing written music is an ongoing topic when it comes to learn music or learning to play guitar. You can compare it to the way jazz or blues musician see music and the way classical educated musicians express music. So which one is the right or better one ? ... Read More Here : Live Streaming Guitar Concert : Sunday June 2nd - 20:00 Live on YouTube. I have been working on redefining my guitar playing and guitar sounds for many months now. Now it's time to show the first results. Next Sunday, matching the Sun - Venus conjunction on my Radix Sun (astrologers know what that means) 🙂 I will once again do an online concert to take a first step in a new musical direction. Unlike the color music concert, I'm streaming from the studio and so the picture and sound should be transmitted in studio quality. I honestly don't know exactly what I'll be playing yet - but it will be more colorful, jazzy, melodic and versatile. I will no longer try to cover only the blues and blues rock genre, although I still like it very much. So these were the most important updates from the month of May. If you love this site please share this information to others which you think might be interested. I more and more pull back my engagment on social media platforms since as a single user you are exposed to swift changes where you have no influence as a content creator which is really frustrating. Here you can read how it works on TikTok as an example : Live Performances I have been testing over months on different concepts of my live performances and at my last Farbmusik concert I came to the finaly setting how I want to continue this unique concept and the audience really loves it. I am glad to have a few people supporting this work which I am doing as a complet independant artist. More will come in the near future when it comes to " Farbmusik " which is my personal concept. If you want to watch the last concert you find it here : That's all so far - if you love the work I am doing for the community please share the information or support it with a premium membership or a donation. Layla ( Eric Clapton ) - Guitar Duo Jam Lesson
What a great tutorial! After the first few practice sessions it really starts to groove. A great song that's fun to play. As always, you've broken it down perfectly for us. The PDF and the backing track are a great help. I can only recommend everyone to have access to the downloads as a premium member. That's small money for an extremely high value. Personally, I'm a little sad that there are no more gpro files available. But of course I fully understand that. Thanks for your great work Hanspeter!1 point

1 pointRedesign of HanspeterKruesi.com I has taken some time but now finally the new design material is finished and online. Many of you always mentioned that my online education system is on - if not THE best in the entire internet but the view and design of the webpage did not really bring out this fact. Now I spent quite a lot of my free time to realize this vision which was formed in my mind from the feedbacks which many of my students have made. So here are the major changements : Promoclip : I have created a great promoclip which from now on will be used as an intro for all videos which will be available on facebook or YouTube http://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/introclip.wmv Redisign of the entrypage of the lessons including the background graphics of all teaching videos : http://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/lessons.htm New description of my knowledge which nobody still does not know till now :1 point

2009 - 2010
1 point2009 - 2010 Now since 2009 is slowy coming to an end it is time to review what all happened since this was one of or even the wildest year I ever had with a lot of up's and down's and extrems in all parts of life. The summary of challenges and problems was that big that it was very hard to decide what shall have priority. So I decided to give my creative work the full priority and take many disadvantages in private things as given but it was not easy at all to be honest. As an artist of course private things have an influence on any kind of creative work. You might get an idea how it was when you see the summmary of all things which have been finished and created this year. Music for movies and TV In Jan 09 I have been composing all music for the SULZER anniverary film. This was a big challenge since I had to compose 30 minutes of music in ambient, electronic and new age style. I have very little time for this and I am very pleased that I was able to fullfill all expectations. I think the movie is a bit boring - but I made a lot of money with it. http://www.music-pictures.com/sulzer.wmv I have been very successful to license my music in different national and interantion musiclibraries. The one is in Hollywood and is a very successful library which works together with the big producers of the industry. Swiss national TV SF DRS invited me also to get more into cooperation. And it turned out that I am one of the popular Swiss composers and they use my music for primetime broadcasting. They were asking for more music and so I composed many new tracks for them to get even more popular. Sounds very good but the money I get still is not what it should be. I started to work with different artists who shall make the whole music even more perfect to stay competitive in the international musicbuisness. Liveperformaces & farbmusik I did a big series of concerts in St. Jakobs Church in Zürich from Feb - April 09 which was the starting point to get into many negotions about taking my idea of music to the next level. You can see the final concert here http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=E698936135AC4379 It turned out that a lot of people are became interested to work on my concept of liveperfomances with music and colours. I tried hard to build a team and get this to the next level but it seemed that my very open way of sharing and working together got missunderstood as weakness and acutally nearly everybody got too greedy or not supportiv so I needed to stop the work with nearly all people I wanted to work with since they seemed not to accept that the main idea - the creative part of my liveperformance shall not be changed. I think they did not understand the philosophy and idea behind. Also some cooperation had to be ended because of private difficulties which unfortunately could not be solved. But the result of this endless odyssee is http://www.farbmusik.com - It got finished in Nov. 09 and created quite a attention at different media and magazines. The writters all say that I have created a new genre of music - this " farbmusik ". The website now is finished and I have a very good feeling that it will become successful. Since the visualization of the colors is very important for " farbmusik " it was very important to find the right person with the right feeling for it. I have been checking quite a few artists starting in spring 08. Nothing worked out the way I expected but finally a young local artist did the work very fast and exacly the way I always had it visualized in my mind. The visualization of the colors with movieclips unfortunatelly failed because differences in buisness matters. But this manager contaced me 2 weeks ago and we might find a solution next year. Online Teaching This is a work which I just kept going more or less beside all other things. I am still on of the featured instructors at guitartricks.com even that they changed there system more on local videoshoots. I need to concentrate on exotic stuff as touch technique, latin guitar or whatever. I am very greatful for that job since I still earn some good money there and it helps to make my name more popular in USA and CA and of course other parts of the globe. My own online guitarschool still is running with a small bundle of subscriber. I will have somebody who is willing to take care of the marketing and promotion of it in 2010. He thinks that it has a lot of potential since my online lessons seems to be one of the best and finest in the entire internet. My YouTube channel shows that my videos have been watched 330000 times. Not bad I guess. I also got invited from SMPV on a symposuim again to talk about online education systems. This is stil a great honor and shows that my work as an online teacher get much respected in my own contry by the Swiss head organisation of music ecucation. Normal Teaching Its funny - I wanted to stop normal teaching at the end of 2008. One of my students there really kept me going on with this even organized a new teaching room for me and now it turned out to be the most stable thing in my life currently. A lot of request and interest and my students come to my small teaching room in Bubikon ( Switzerland ) from far away and they enjoy the lessons very much and apprechiate my experience and my teaching style. ( there words )This small room slowly slowy gets into a representation problem since students expect something else when the see me in internet. So I started to get into negotiation with GODIN Switzerland that we can combine our efforts and maybe I can get an office there at there place in 2010. Bodo the guy from GODIN told me that he was very disappointed when I " cheated " him with Gibson ( USA ) Netlabel.ch I do own a recording company ( very small one ) and I am about to sign a very good artist. She is much into pianomusic and music and colors. So this would fit very good into the philosophy of my label. We started to work now - more to come. But therefor follow here websites. You find her websites here : http://www.tatjananikic.com http://www.doingnothing.org ----------- So this is it at the moment. My next steps now will be to take care of my private life more since the work on all projects which was very very intense is done now.1 point

Nov 09 blog
1 pointNov 09 blog There has been some time since my last blog - entry. I have been very busy and met many people to develope my projects. So here are the results : Farbmusik.com My german website related to colors & music is now more or less finished. I have builded this website up during the discussion with my manager. We wanted to work out a full professional setting since my " farbmusik " has a lot of potential. But unfortunately it turned out, that my manager did not support my vision and he wanted to have exclusiv - rights. So I had to end up this cooperation. After all difficulties I went through during this year I think it is the best to stay on the line and just look for people who have a similar feeling and vision for projects. Everything else does not work in a artistic cooperation. So from now on I will select people who I want to work with very carfull and check if this really works without bigger discussions. So since the website http://www.farbmusik.com is now finished I will have a first interview tomorrow. It seems like people from different interest areas ( TV, movie, health, meditation, theraphy, wellness, liveperformances, events ... ) are very much interested in my " farbmusik " which is actually great. But it is not that easy that you get missunderstood as an artist and performer. Many people think it is meant in an esoteric way - but it is not. I will see what will happen and if this will cause more attention and more interviews. So since everything is finished I can not do more then keep it going and follow the reactions of the people. New CD Now I will finish my CD which I have been working on. I hope it will be finished till the end of the year. Acutally I have enough recordings for one CD but I what to get a clean concept on the CD so it might take some more time and of course I want to have more guitars on my recordings. This is the harder part to record some cool and great guitartracks. I have to be in top shape for that. New contract for my music I have got 7 more tracks under contract by a musiclibrary in Houton TX. Outlook I have been doing a lot of project work in the past months and had no free minute for myself. Now since I am finished I will keep things with teaching, performing and recording going on a normal level and now take care of my personal life which I did not do since july. This has now first priority - so it might stay quite with new flashlights for a while.1 point

Misty - Jazzguitar
1 pointDuring my preparations for my concert of the 31.10. I needed to take a break in practicing my songs and relaxed a bit with my blue jazz jacket by playing one of my very favorite jazzstandards " Misty " . A lot of people do not really know I acutally studied jazzguitar as well and I play jazz a lot just for fun. So here's my midnight version of " Misty "1 point

Summer report
1 pointSummer report It has been a while since my last blog entry. I was pretty busy because I had to move out of my place I live because of health problems. Some of you might noticed in the last videos that I used to have a running nose. Something at my place caused these problems and they had even got worse. So unfortunately I had to move out of the place. Talk to your guitar I have started with a new idea I had of a monthy video blog I call " talk to your guitar ". I thought it was a funny idea and the guys from guitartricks.com gave me the OK to act officialy as a representative with this idea. You can check the video on facebook here http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=...4025&ref=mf HP's online guitarschool on facebook.com Stevo ( Tonic Scale ) opened up a facebook group on facebook.com where issues about this school can be discussed and some additional information are available too. If you have a facebook.com account you can join here http://www.facebook.com/pages/Zurich-Switz...27503763?ref=mf. There will be a major update of the school here in the next few weeks and as far as I understand the system it will be possible to synchronize the school here with facebook.com. The new system is great anyway. I am sure you will love it. I have tested it once for a few days but the subscription manager was not working proberly thats why I switched back to the old system till everything works out perfect. But you can already have a look on my german guitarsite http://www.gitarrenforum.eu Composing work I have released new music in order to license it at any kind of TV or movie library. One of the new songs can be listened at http://www.music-pictures.com/music/index.htm . It is called " reflections of the past ". If you might be wondering which color this song has. It is my favorite color - indigo. I got reports from all agencies and libraries I started to work in the last months ( LA, Houston, London ) that my music has been used in TV or movie productions. Seems like this really starts to work - it needs time and patience indeed but once the system is up and they love the music it really works. The more I get into composing work the more I feel that my strong sections which are wanted most are : Electronica, New Age, Ambient, Piano solo Summerbreak I will be off duties for 3 weeks now after the lesson of the month August is recorded.1 point

Future plans
1 pointFuture plans I have been working very hard since the beginning of September 08. Believe it or not - Since then I have been working nearly 7 days a week to get all things done which had to be done and to push new ideas forward. It was a very hard but also very successful time since we think back to the movie I scored, the Hollywood placement, becoming a featured artist at taxi.com, getting signed by international digital music distribution companies, having a whole concert series realized with 7 color - concerts performing each time 7 originals on piano and guitar. Those who only know me as a guitarist might not know that I have the same professional abbilities on the piano as well. My vision of colormusic has leaded to serveral request to produce movies, DVD's or other projects with my colormusic. So you might see what the problem is. It is far too much for a one man company, and to be honest this has leaded to some health and personal problems which made me stop now and starting to think about my real priorities. I have made my desicions now : 1. Live - Playing : I definitly want to get back the reagular live - playing where I perform my music and my abilties on piano & guitar. It is not that easy because I have been away the music-scene for nearly 10 years - and of course to get booked at the really great places you need to know the booking managers. Making all the networking is a lot of work and of course I can not do too much of it because I am busy enough with my music. So I am lucky that I now have finally got somebody who is taking care of this business. We got some great ideas how my music and my show can be set up in special occasions to create a fanbase and then to finally performe at festivals, concert halls ... 2. DVD - Production : I am in fact planing to realize a DVD series with my music and some visual effects but this is displaced. The current setting with my team is not how it should be and I think this DVD can wait. 3. Online - Education work : I will keep up my online education work on guitartricks.com and my own 3 websites. I already made kind of a schedule stragegie where I can put together my efforts on live - playing and creating great new online lessons. But the focus on my teaching videos will be more in the advanced playing section since this is the strategie which will persist in international competition with my current business setting. 4. Music for TV, Movie & Hollywood : I had some very lucky moments with my composer work since I started 18 months ago. I will focus on my core - business here as well producing my style of music as can be heared at my liveperformences or on http://www.music-pictures.com. So if those internation music libraries still want my music its OK. I already have had many placements including the one on the ABC serial " Ugly Betty " but I will not do any scoring or composing work anymore which is outside my main core - business even when I have made a lot of money. I think an artist should not go too far away from what he really feels because this might stop all creativity as it happened to me now. So this is an outlook for the upcoming months and probably years. I will now slowy get back to work, but now I really will keep in mind where my real priorities are and don't forget to really enjoy life beside my work. This might slow things down but will keep my work up on the long term ;-)1 point

1 pointHi HP, Is it Freud that said you need a balance between work and pleasure. You were working alot indeed. You had to make choices to get back to a reasonable balanced state. And yes it's a matter of long term vision. Postponing your DVD projects isnt a bad thing . Sales of DVD are constantly decreasing anyways and with what is happening on the web, music is increasingly sold thru different channels than traditional music stores . Websites like Live365 are selling packages of music in the same way you buy a package of TV channels thru cable or satellite TV. Although if one of your song is played you get royalties it mostly help promote the artists that will perform live I think. I think you're going in the right direction in wanting to play live. I dont come here so often now. Been working alot on my music mainly wrting songs. Am working on 3 at this moment. The last one being a medieval type of song. I needed to use a different kind of picking style using alot of double stop which I use on a jazzy chord progression that I started working on also. I'm havin fun exploring different style of music. take care denis1 point

At the first or the second concert I asked you some questions about your equipment but it was only a short conversation. Anyway I hope to meet you at another occasion. I am looking forward to the videos and I am sure the other people on this site will also like seeing you in action. Your guitar and piano playing plus your touch technique will interest many people. 1 pointWhich one were you - I guess I met you but I just now I do not remember. Just editing the videos of the last concert where I played both instruments. I will upload them soon. Yes those concerts in Zürich showed me that my colormusic works and people love it. Imagine that I did not do any active promotion for them and still the people came. This is a thing which shall be changed - it is only a matter of that people are there and they love it. The other thing which has to be better is the professional setting probably with more lightshow stuff. But the desicion is final - I will get this working on national and hopefully international liveshows. My contacts and success stories from 10 years online business might help me.1 point

On some pieces of music you even played them both alternatively which astonished me even more. I am glad that I stopped it now because at the end I would had to compose music which I do not really feel - link on the SULZER movie. So I go back to the roots and it is good to know that you guys support me.1 point

Featured artist at taxi.com and SULZER
I currently am one of the featured artists at taxi.com. Seems like my idea getting a composer for TV, movie which I started at the end of 08 is more and more becoming real. Check http://www.taxi.com/transmitter/0904/deals.html I visited the shareholder convention of SULZER yesturday. There they show the movie I scored on a very large screen in HD. That was very impressive and made me kind of proud even that the music I wrote for that movie is not what I normaly would do. Here's now the video which is online at sulzer.com : http://www.sulzer.com/de/DesktopDefault.as...217_read-12562/ HP1 point

When I saw this video, actually a longer version of it I think, the first time there wasnt any narration to it. The narration adds alot to the overall feel of the video and the sound track strengthens the whole presentation in a remarkable way. I didnt know about Taxi.com. I'm with Broadjam.com which does similar things but so far had little success with it. I might drop it. Great work HP1 point

28.03.09
28.03.09 It has been some time since my last blog entry. I was pretty busy but I also needed a break since I have been working very hard in the last months. But still here are some news : Music-pictures.com I have made a new entry page on http://www.music-pictures.com . It took me around 24 hours till I got into the technique how to do this and then to get that entrymovie on the emotional and expressive level I wanted to have. The goal was that any visitor which comes to that site feels that you find some expressive, emotional music there and that I also do work as a scoring composer, right on any kind of movie or that you can get music which can be used for TV & movie. But still not having the focus only on this. It is the entire artwork with music, pictures, colors, emotions. Colormusic During my liveperfomances in Zürich from Januar till now I found out that on the one hand a lot of people do not understand what colormusic is. And a lot of people think this has to do something with esoteric or since the concerts were in church with religious topics. This is not correct. What is right is that the philosphy behind my music and the colormusic in special has to do with spiritual thoughts, but it is either christian, nor esoteric, nor anything other. My philosophy is based on music and it's emotional impact and what music can do for people. Colors is only one way of expression... I found out that emotions ( best would be positiv ) is what it is all about in music and that if you can bring emotions into your music you can change people and as a consequence can change things. So the colormusic is only a tool for me to get music closer to any kind of people. That's why I started to change the colorclips since some people said it is too esoteric. Here's now one try for violett. Current version : http://www.music-pictures.com/violett/index.htm Beta version : http://www.music-pictures.com/violett/beta.html Music distribution in South Korea I have started to work with a music - networking label in South Korea, which is the leading download market in Asia ( there words ) . South Korea is a special market and needs special treatment. I was able to make a contract with those guys. I might be that I have to travel to South Korea soon to make some liveperformances. Looking forward to it. Hanspeter Kruesi.com I have changed the homepage a bit to make it look a little more perfect. This will be my website for all my work as a guitarplayer including guitarmusic & online guitarschool. The online guitarschool has gone through some bigger updates and edits and now I start thinking that this is currently one of the best online guitarschools in the net. This is what some students tell me as well. New CD I have decided yesturday to start working on a new guitarsolo CD. I don't know when it will be ready but I am willing now to do it. This will feature a lot of sologuitar songs which are now part of my liveperformance. I am even thinking about recording it without any overdubs - only a full CD with only one guitar. We'll see what happenes. I will let you know in my blog. Guitartricks.com Since I still am a featured instructor at http://www.guitartricks.com and I love the work there too I will be part of the entire professional marketing campagne on facebook.com, youtube.com and myspace.com. So if you have any kind of account there you can join my account and start to build a cool Web 2.0 guitarcommunity. Here my coordinates : Hanspeter Kruesi on facebook.com http://www.youtube.com/user/hpcrazycom http://www.myspace.com/hanspeterkruesi So these were the current news. :-D HP1 point

Guitarmusic in the Palace in St. Moritz.
I have been performing on guitar in the world famous Palace hotel in St. Moritz yesturday. http://www.badruttspalace.com/ . I have been playing in many first class hotels in my career, but THIS was in fact something very special. I wouldn't say that I liked the place - it is too much on high society and too much super rich people - but I have been there - and you should have seen the faces of the people when I parked my old fiat punto in front of the hotel beside all those rollce royes, bentleys, maybach's and other cars. The looked at me as I would be an alien. :-D Greets HP1 point

Guitarmusic in the Palace in St. Moritz.
In fact I always loved the style of Standley Jordan - not only the playing but the tone which is created with the touch technique, and for me this playing is natural, since I grew up beeing a pianist before an injury stopped me and forced me to change to guitar. Yes it takes a lot of time. But I always been I great fan of flash animated movies with music. This is where I started to get into scoring and composing for movies some years ago. You need to have a passion for it to really go through the whole thing and suffer till you get to the point where the result gets perfect. I worked through the whole night and that was the reason why I left St. Moritz that fast because I wanted to do that flash movie. I know I am a bit crazy1 point

1 pointVery much like Michael Hedges Style. there are a few that have been around for many years with touch acoustic style. Some of these are some 20 or more years ago... I Met Michael many years ago in my travels... I played on the same stage he did in RedRocks Colorado (it was daytime and had a small audience of people just check'n out redrocks just like me and my girl) ... But I can say I played there, it was a blast... the acoustics are aweseme! I was just playing my acoustic guitar no power... anyway, Michael was a great player... Killed in a tragic car accident in the Rockies He was great player of this techniques. Erick is a follower and is adding his own taste to it. It's good to see the style being carried on. Another player of this style is William Ackerman. I wrote a tune called Michael's hammer in honor of Michael. You can here it here http://www.myspace.com/lastgenerationrock It's called Michael's hammer... HP's technique is a bit more like Jordan's but he has his own flare and touch. There should be more lessons in this area. I've been practicing with my right hand since my left is injured, and will be some time before it's healed, I've only just found out. but it will not keep me from playing! Peace... TS...1 point -

Thanks - that was really a lot of work. You wouldn't believe it when you look at it. I used jumpeyecomponents.com effects in combination with flash CS3. Still those components create great effects but it really takes time to get everything properly synchronized to the music and that the pictures give a natural flow with the music. I used Nuendo of course to gether with different sounds. A have a whole bundle of sounds but the main softsyth is Omnishere. HP1 point

HP, Very very nice entry page. Are you using Macromedia Director ? for the multimedia part ? and then you use Nuendo to add the music theme ? I have Sonar producer edition as DAW and it has softsynths but I havent found anything that sounds similar to the type of synth sound you seem to be using.1 point

I know - I think it is to let a place sound highclass. I had a room but I did not stay over night - I did not feel too confortable there. Only the very rice people do stay there - and most of the were russian. But I played for an american buisness evening. I already knew that guy. He has kind of the Justin King style. That really sounds great, but I guess there is one special trick behind it because Justin King sound very similar and I think it is even the same key Worked hard this night - check the entry page of http://www.music-pictures.com1 point

12.02.09 Finished the movie I am so glad that I could finish the movie which kept me busy over weeks. I took me 171 hours to score that movie. The movie is the 175 anniverary movie for the internation Swiss company SULZER. That was quite a challenge. The movie contains only music & pictures so I had to compose 30 minutes of music. You can check the movie at http://www.music-pictures.com/sulzer.wmv. My favorite scenes are the beginning of " Powergeneration " and " Hydro carbon processors ". But to tell you the truth - I don't want to see any turbines and pumpes for the next 20 years anymore. - and I really need some holidays :-D Liveperformances I started the liveperformance series in the St. Jakobs Church in Zürich with the red and the orange concert. The people really loved my music and my presentation of those 2 colors and I guess this was one of the first times where you could here a great leadguitar sound in that church :-D Those who missed it or it has been to far away to come - check the links to listen to the music I played and the small movie which was looped. http://www.music-pictures.com/red/index.htm http://www.music-pictures.com/orange/index.htm Green and lightblue will be next. Check http://www.music-pictures.com/live.htm One thing which showed up is that quite a lot of people do not understand the relation between colors and music - even that they love what they heard and saw. This is a phänomen called " synesthesia ". When you check history you will see that a lot of known musicians and artist knew this and they worked with it.1 point

I know - but that was not my idea. But then I had the idea of making a great clip with different tensions and moods with the music. The very first beta version was great acutally - I told the producer, that it would make sense on this concept to create something which keeps the attention of the viewer over the whole 30 minutes but he cutted it down on what you see know. Even the intro was more bombastic with great hollywood sound effects. He didn't like it. On the car race and the powergeneration I had great guitarmusic with a great emotional impact and on the carbon thing there there was a heavy pumping hiphop groove with rock guitar riffs. Looked great ... now I don't like it too much. It's OK but pretty boring. I had to get it done in the range of 160 hours - that was kind of a big pressure to get all those changements and edits done in that time. The music was composed direct to the clips with Nuendo. I did the mastering with Wavelab 6.0 and Waves mastering plug ins. YES - had had a lots lots of headaches... I'm so glad it is finished. For the next time I will think about it since I didn't really know what I was expecting.... HP1 point

That's quite a different concept for a corporate presentation which usually uses narration. Was that your idea ? You worked 171 hours on the project. Being a different concept did you have an unlimited amount of hours allocated to the project and you ended up with working those 171 hours ? You had to maintain some unity for the project as a whole. Did you composed most music clips within about the same tempo. I guess you provided them with your music clips and then their were added to the video. Did you do the mastering of the music with your own DAW or you provided them with the mix which was then mastered ? Anyways , very well done. You must have had headaches at times.1 point

I'm sure I've shared that my girl is an artist. We've been connected for many years and have created side by side, she with color and brush and each has inspired the other to a degree or another. We never knew there was a word for it but this makes much sense... thanks for sharing this, maybe now we can bring out even more... You sire, are Brilliant Peace... stevo...1 point
