Hey guys, I just bought a 7 string guitar to expand my possibilities of sound and expression. I will soon make some video's or recordings with it. My question is would you guys be interested to follow the journey with the 7 string guitar yourself with your own 7 string guitar. I just ask here in the HPCrazy students club and not on YouTube anymore. It's about time that members of the HPCrazy Students Club get a benefit of being here and part of the community. Let me know what your thoughts are about the 7 string guitar - or maybe you have some other idea's to share.

Hey guys, would you be interested in several courses here in the HPCrazy Guitar Academy ? At the end of the course you would be able to pass the tests for the HPCrazy Guitar Academy Awards. https://www.hanspeterkruesi.com/members/forum/84-student-awards/ As an example the Blues Intermediate Award : Tell me what you guys think about this.

Hey Greg, yes in Jazz there would be many useful possibilties for a course. You practice routines sound quit good. To create a course it would be nessary that maybe at least 10 people would join to share the costs that it is affordable for everybody and my working time is also somehow covered. Jazz has a lot of learning potential and a lot of potential to create courses which really get a great learning effect but jazz is also not so popular.... These are my thoughts about it. Thank you

Perhaps the best way is to show my present day practice session: (usually for two hours in the early morning) 1). Warm up with your “Classical Arpeggio - Skipping Exercise” (not as smooth as it should be) 2). Jazz Blues Chord Progression; F7,Bb7,F7,Bb7,F7,D7(b9),Gm7,C7 and associated scales for each chord 3). Fly Me to the Moon - (see attached jazz version) Fly Me to the Moon.pdf Greg PS., my sincere condolences on your recent losses

Hey guys, there is a new version of guitar pro available. https://www.guitar-pro.com/c/10-guitar-pro-new-features In earlier tutorials I used to also add the guitar pro file for download. But at that time this service was not used so often. Maybe it has changed now. So I wonder if you guys would be interested that I add the guitar pro files again. I think guitar pro is in fact an awesome tool for practicing and I could offer a discount for all HPCrazy Guitar Academy students. https://www.guitar-pro.com/?pg=cart&CodeReduction=hpcrazy#ae163

  20. Playing Level Awards

    1 point
Would you guys be interested in having the ability to go for awards on different levels by passing a test? The test would be a tutorial and if you can play what is teached in the tutorial in a test which I would monitor then you would get an award in the HPCrazy Guitar Academy. To do the test you would need to pay a small fee for my time - like 10US$ and possible level award would be : Intermediate Blues Guitar Player, Semi Pro Blues Guitar Player, Advanced Rock Guitar Player and so on and on. Tell me what you think about the idea. At the end the full HPCrazy Guitar Academy Diploma stands which would give you an award for a professional guitar player.

After also reviewing the results of the YouTube online voting and the comments here I think I will initialize the guitar level certificates. There will be the following certificats available : The requirements will be written down soon - like for Blues Intermediate it shall be play 2 types of blues including the rhythm guitar + 3 chorus solo with question / answer concept. I also will monitor your rhythm presicion rate which for the intermediate level would be 75%. The professional of course will be 100%. All you need to do is to send me a video where you show the requirements - in this case max. 10 minutes. And if you pass the test you get the certificate here in the HPCrazy Guitar Academ which will be displayed in your personal account. The fee for the intermediate test will be 30 US$ which covers 15 minutes of my time. The concept is quiet open and you can decide yourself if you are ready for the test or not. If you don't pass the test there will be no refund of the test fee. So be sure you are ready to pass the test. If you are unsecure you still can book a private online lesson. Let me know if you like this concept and then I think I slowly will proceed. I also will make a video today to announce this new feature.

The concept of the tests would be that I make a video or text where I decribe the requirements which are needed to pass a certain test. A student can decide then if one is ready for the test or not and if you want to make the test then you send a video where the requirements for that certain test have to be fullfilled in the range of the defined range. I would check the video and if a students passed the test you get the certificate here in your students profil. The final test - which the HPCrazy Guitar Diploma of course is very challenging and only a guitarist with a professional playing level can pass it. There a student which passes the test gets the certificate here in the HPCrazy Guitar Academy and also one printed which can be hand on a wall or so. The tests all are challenging for each level - so it is not easy to pass them. You need to fullfill all described requirements. The value of a certificate is only defined by it's strict executed requirements to pass.

I attended a quite similar program by Tom Hess called Elite Guitar Inner Circle and was a little bit disappointed at the end about the results. I like much the HP lessons specially all the tips using licks and sounds. So I would first like to see the agenda. If I see the quality of the lessons it is definitly quite interesting. Cheers, Jürgen

Hey Marion, thanks for your feedback. Yes the private online lessons also work for total beginners. But you can already start with the basics in my " total beginners " tutorial with your 70 dollar guitar Maybe you have time to go through this tutorial - all explained what awaits you in the first 3-6 months.

Hey Charley, nice to hear from you again. I know that Carpel Tunnel syndrom. One of my students had that and in fact it leaded to a surgery and as far as I know all is fine again now. But I haven't seen him for like 2 or 3 years. 60 years ? Well thats some time - yes it's important to do things right and stay in a relaxed position - specially when you passed your 20's then it gets more and more important that you have a proper playing technique to reduce all stress and tension from your hands. If enough people really did for the certificates I would set up the thing. It's quiet a lot of work so I first wanted to hear opinions.

Hoi Hanspeter Is English the common language in this guitar club, for a better understanding for all ? You are a musician, a genuine professional, I like your work. About your request for our opinions: IF I would be that far that I could play one song on guitar, I surely would join that test program. But my knowledge in this instrument is near zero 😔 My love for guitar and piano music is real, but... I never ever started any guitar lessons. In 1986 I bought a 70 dollar guitar (in Germany) and since then it survived many home / place movings and got dusty, but not rusty. Deep in my heart I never gave up on my vision to start playing guitar one day. Never had the right leisure or time to start, but as some things have changed, NOW I have time 🙏 So I want to show up here sooner or later, I think, no later than June, but I have to pass some exams until end of May. Your willingness and time assumed, I would start online lessons via Skype with your help. It is time to do the better things in life. You can train absolute beginners, I am convinced of that. For the Guitar Certificate you can ask me 1 year later 😂 Blessings Marion

Greetings HP! Well, I have been absent for some time. Some 6 months ago my hands went numb. It's taken 6 months to be scheduled for surgery. Dr Kim is the Best Hand surgeon in the state and tells me I will make a full recovery. I have Sevier Carpel Tunnel in both Wrists. Dr Kim says it's common in long time Guitar Players who do not pay attention to the way they are holding they hands when playing. So I have gone back to the beginning and studying Music and Guitar Theory. Hands off. this has been good for me as far as that goes. After my surgery in the next month I will have to start from scratch (will kinda I guess I did play for 60 years) with my hands in position as to not re create this problem and stay healthy into my 90's like Les Paul and BB King. We can play into old age... It is so important to do it right. I would love to receive a certificate and work hard again to be a good player. Being with you for over 12 years has helped me immensely though I am usually in the background. I would really like to be more involved, everyday, and commit to being the best player I can be... and I know I can... It's what I have lived for all my life... Thanks HP... Talk soon!

Hey guys, check out this 20 sec clip here. It's what you can learn in the current tutorial " swagger alternative rock guitar " . I really love this riff but somehow the tutorial is not so popular - maybe have a look at what you can learn. It's really easy to play and sounds great. Maybe the title of the tutorial was misleading.... https://www.youtube.com/clip/UgkxaG1lNRDv-NHOhAlWahqU9j3oFNa4dpTO
