Here you find some very first and basic exercises which bring you into the world of alternate picking in rock lead guitar. The basic concept of alternate picking works with having downstrokes on any downbeats of your counting and upstrokes on any upbeats of your counting. This is a very basic concept which will not stay like this all the time but it lays down your foundation of a very well educated alternate picking technique and your timing will benefit very much from these exercises.
