Here we are starting with the first basic licks in this basic rock guitar training course. I show you some basic licks in the E minor pentatonic position in the open string position and in the normal position in the XIIth fret. The focus on those licks are not so much the notes you play but more to find a confortable position of your picking hand. You can start to practice that with the licks in the E minor positon with the open strings and once your feel confortable you can move in the XIIth fret. The same is with the speed of the licks. There are 2 versions available. Start with the slower speed in 8th notes and then switch to the faster speed with 16th notes. Best would be that you can change the speed any time with no problems. Also I show you the first bendings which are a very crucial part in any rock guitar solo.
