Smooth Jazz Guitar Masterclass Vol. 1

Here you can learn real pro tricks on how to master a smooth jazz guitar track by using parallel arpeggio's, modes, parallel modes and by inserting alterations. The track I am talking about has the following chord progression :

A-7 / A-7 / A-7 / A-7 / A-7 / A-7 / A-7 / A-7 ( Aalt ) /
D-7 / D-7 / A-7 / A-7 / Ealt / D-7 / A-7 / A-7 /

This is a guitar masterclass so you need to have your things a bit together or you can get some ideas and inspiration here. It's not so much about speed, it's about understanding a progression and using different tools of expression.

Thanks I will watch them  as I can learn from all information.  I have started taking lessons, so I am trying not to get off track   First tune as a lesson in jazz is Autumn Leaves ..so I will be watching that lesson of yours again and again.   I am told that is a good teaching tool for learning jazz, and it is one of my favorites anyway.  Belated Merry Christmas, or Early Orthodox Christmas.  

 

Hey Tod, thats good that you are taking private lessons. Even I do this online Academy here I strongly recommend to take at least a few private lessons because everybody is different and a professional instructor can make the right corrections.

Yes Autumne Leaves is a great tune to get into Jazz improvisation from beginner - advanced concepts.
