Here you can learn how to become a better Rock rhythm guitar player. This tutorial is for all rock guitar players out there who want to become really steady rhythm machines such as Malcolm Young or Mike Whiteford's of Aerosmith. Having a real steady and tight Rock Rhythm guitar means that you involve your whole body into the Rhythm while you're playing and that you are counting the beats 1 2 3 4 consciously. So this tutorial is about how to do you train your whole body in your whole system to play rock chords with a typical rock technique and moving your foot to the beat and counting and having the whole system going simultaneously. Some exercises seem like to be total beginner exercises but if you have never done this to exercises before and you are an intermediate or even a pro guitar player you really need to have those exercise done properly. I can only speak of my own experience that I underestimated those exercises a lot when I just left my music University and I learned the hard way but if you haven't done the basics right you are not able to play complex stuff tight and in the proper timing. So just go through those exercise I'm showing you and if you're able to do all of them properly and all in different tempoโ€™s then you don't have to do these exercises anymore. These exercises are the basis of everything when it comes to rhythm rock guitar.

Hey Kevin, yes rhythm and timing is very important. It makes 50% of the musicical expression. I am planing to do specific lessons just on rhythm to work this out. I had it on my mind quite a while but forgot it over the x-mas time. Good that you remind me about that. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank You so much for this lesson, that has such important stepping stones for all guitar playing. I have been lost for a while in my guitar playing and frustrated, you have helped me to find a spark to re-ignite my playing and enjoy the journey again. I can't thank you enough

Hey Mick, thanks for your nice feedback and I am really glad I could bring you back on your guitar journey. It's all about enjoying the journey not always seeing the final goal. I wish my teacher would have told me that and that's why I really try to teach everybody and any level to always enjoy the journey - that's the main goal.
