I was checking out the live in N.Y. 1970 version and 3 minutes in Jim sings, "Passion lady. Passion lady, give up your vows. Give up your vows." What do you suppose that means?

That's a classic women don't understand men and opposite 😄

I think you will find its "ashen lady"  and may be a reference to an overdose.

I see - good to know since I don't really know the secret meaning behind expressions. 🙂

I think it's a proper noun, Passion Lady, as in "The Passion of Christ" and the "vows" are those taken by Catholic nuns. I'm demented.
