Thank you. I guess knowing to start and end on the root should be obvious but you're the first teacher to point this out. Now I know along with connecting the positions and making the goal! ?

Well this is a system which always works  as a guideline - once you are fine with that you can get start to variy the improvisation system and take other notes then the root in fokus. But it will always stay that way that we need to make the GOAL ?

Although I'm thoroughly enjoying your current/recent video tutorials/lessons (August 2019), after watching this video, I realise my personal ability is considerably below that which is required to execute the material taught in these videos. Now a full member, I intend to go back to the start and concentrate on your earlier theoretical lessons before venturing fully into the riff/song videos. I think this video/lesson was a great start to my plans BTW!!!

Hey Phil, well if you can play the pentatonics in one position ( no. 1 ) and you can play some licks and rhythm guitar you can follow most of the lessons. Only if you want to really follow the masterclasses you need to have your things a bit more together. For sure it's very useful to know all pentatonic positions. That I strongly recommend.

Hey HP, this is one of my favourite ways to play the guitar, and it doesn’t matter if in rock, blues or even unplugged in the middle of the night, it’s always cool. Thank you for showing how to practice this scale lesson with a cool rhythm especially with the extortion on.  I love it! And with the bendings (which are getting better and better) the cooler it gets! I hope I’ll be ready to do a cool gig with you when we meet for our next lesson. Cheers!

Hey Carloline, yeah the pentatonics are great to practice all the time by any time of the day. With the bendings it just takes some time till they work but once they work it's like riding a bike - it's easy.

I will be curious for our next jam in the lessons B-)

Hi HP, excellent content all around. Really enjoying your lessons and learning a lot.

I know it's a lot of work, but it would help me if you included more tabs for the solo runs you do here and in your other lessons like the Major Rock Lead Guitar Tricks and Rock Ballad. You provide chord tone notes and scales, but not the more complex runs themselves.

I guess it's up to us to pause/slow down the video and learn note by note ourselves? The runs are pretty fast.

thanks for the suggestion. I always try to make the tabs as useful as possible for the learning process but depending on the lesson it sometimes does not makes sense to write everything down. That's a bit my teaching style. It's mostly more to understand the concept. And this lesson here is really old and there I didn't make as much tabs as in todays lesssons. But I take your request into consideration and see what I can do. 😊
