Become A Better Rock Rhythm Guitar
Become A Better Rock Rhythm Guitar

7 pointsHere you can learn how to become a better Rock rhythm guitar player. This tutorial is for all rock guitar players out there who want to become really steady rhythm machines such as Malcolm Young or Mike Whiteford's of Aerosmith. Having a real steady and tight Rock Rhythm guitar means that you involve your whole body into the Rhythm while you're playing and that you are counting the beats 1 2 3 4 consciously. So this tutorial is about how to do you train your whole body in your whole system to play rock chords with a typical rock technique and moving your foot to the beat and counting and having the whole system going simultaneously. Some exercises seem like to be total beginner exercises but if you have never done this to exercises before and you are an intermediate or even a pro guitar player you really need to have those exercise done properly. I can only speak of my own experience that I underestimated those exercises a lot when I just left my music University and I learned the hard way but if you haven't done the basics right you are not able to play complex stuff tight and in the proper timing. So just go through those exercise I'm showing you and if you're able to do all of them properly and all in different tempo’s then you don't have to do these exercises anymore. These exercises are the basis of everything when it comes to rhythm rock guitar. Midnight Blues ( Snowy White )
6 pointsHere you can learn the magic which is behind the song Midnight Blues by Snowy White. Somebody recommend this song to me and wanted to know if I can do a tutorial about it so I analyzed this song and wanted to find out why became so popular even though there is no official recording available on YouTube. There are three things which make the magic of this song. First of all to Form. It is a simple musical form with the chords E minor C and D but the way they are arranged through the song and the way the arrangement is building up makes the real magic of this song I give more information about this in the video but he'll find the chords displayed. I have skipped the intro. First Part Em / C D / Em / Em Em C / D / Em / C D Em / Em / Em / C D Em / Em / Em C / D Em / Em Second Part - Repeats itself C / D / Em / Em C / D / Em / Em C / D / Em / Em C / D / Em / Em Em C / D / Em / Em The second signature thing is the sound of the lead guitar. One part of the sound is the sound setting which is probably a vibrolux amp or something similar and the other part is the playing technique as you create this sweet sound which is basically just played with the E minor Pentatonic. I'll show you some tricks and some examples how you can get this sweet sound and how you can have a dynamic expression with his clean sound which has only reverb as an effect. The third signature thing is the catching the moment of an emotion into music. Blues is a music style which has a lot to do with emotion the sadness and loss and if you don't feel the same emotions probably you cannot play blues. From my personal experience and the experience of other players I know that the best recordings happened in moments where you really feel this moment of sadness and loss or slight depression. But of course you can also play blues if you don't feel sad but at least you have the experience that you probably lost a dear friend or lost your relation partner or something similar and you can put these emotions into your play. midnight blues snowy white.mp3 Here you find an other tutorial to this topic here :6 points

Personal Reset 2021
6 pointsI want to share a few thoughts I went through in the past weeks and months which led to a personal reset which has started in these days which in fact will alter my artist work a bit and probably make it more personal then it was before. I think the past 12 months were challenging for nearly everybody on this planet in many ways. I always said to my close people or those I spoke to that the Covid crisis brings people to what they really are. And so I thought about my upcoming path as an artist and musician also with this new situation that hit artists probably most. I know that I have been very successful as an online instructor in the past 15 years. I have been an instructor at gibson.com at guitartricks.com and now since 2013 on my HPCrazy Guitar Channel. But beside this guitar player and guitar instructor there was always a second person with another artistic expression. I am a very spiritual person who dedicated my whole life to music and ways of expressing emotions with music but I am also an educated astrologer and trained in spiritual exercises. That was always my source of inspiration but till 2020 I always kept it more or less secret because I wanted to be seen as a mainstream musician. I made many thoughts about this in 2020 and in Nov. 2020 I decided to put my knowledge of Farbmusik, of Astrology and spiritual exercises into a brand new psychological - musical concept to help people in situations of crisis. So I set up a new website http://www.sternentherapie.com and one week later I had my first client. It was my Sister Monika - she got bad news from her doctor and needed support. So I took the challenge even I could see in her astrological chart that it was a " Make it or break it " situation. At the end she did not make it, but she left our world in complete peace and I must say at the very end of her life she got to her full spiritual strength and recognition. And that's what it's all about. When she passed away I knew that this was a sign for me that I also should start this. The principle of Sternentherapie is very much connected to music. Beside the councelling with astrology you get your personal meditation music to work on your themes. When a client asks for that additional feature I improvise a song on piano related to a person's current situation. In my normal artist work I will now more include my full person and my full knowledge. Well it was always there but somehow I hid it behind pictures with no words or music with no words. This will change now. I said goodbye to the old mainstream musician I was, I will leave more or less my social media life on Facebook, Instagram and I will start to do Sternentherapie, Farbmusik and continue the HPCrazy Academy but will also bring more psychological aspects into it. And so this webpage here will be the center of my work in the future. So this my personal reset which I liked to share. If you also made a reset which you want to share please let us know in your personal profile. 🙂6 points

Dynamic Minor Blues Concept
5 pointsDynamic Minor Blues Concept A minor blues is often a musical form with three chords and a dramatic shift in the music itself. In this case we have a little riff which is made out of two bars with A minor and in the second bar F and G. The trick to create an amazing minor blues is to have dynamic shifts in your playing and your expression on the guitar. You can compare it to storytelling. You want to make the story simple but interesting and it's the same in music. You have simple chords but you want to make it sound interesting. And that's exactly the point where this tutorial comes into perfect place. I am showing you how to make variations in sound, in playing and in expression of those three chords A minor, F and G which are used often in minor blues or other minor balade settings. One essential trick is your dynamic attack on the strings which gives you variations in your distorted sound. By adding vibrato to the chords you can make them sound more dramatic and more expressive. Different types of fingering of the cords of the attacking and of the expression is the main topic of this guitar tutorial and will help you to get your unique individual guitar sound in a minor blues. Creative Minor Blues
5 pointsCreative Minor Blues - Guitar Lesson In this guitar lesson I talk about creativity on the guitar in minor blues. The guitar minor blues is probably the most demanding genre on lead guitar because it is so slow and you have a lot of time to make wrong notes, wrong moves - basically just too many notes. So simplicity is the key to success in this genre. In this tutorial I show you a simple theme and how to develop it from scratch and how to really develop your own creativity and your own expression with very simple tricks and motives. This type of minor blues I am showing you goes in the ballpark of Gary Moore, Rose Tattoo and Rory Gallagher. creative minor blues.pdf creative minor blues.gp creative minor blues.mp35 points

Slow Blues ( The Jack Style )
5 pointsSlow Blues ( The Jack Style ) Here you can learn a Slow Blues in the style of “ The Jack “ by ACDC. This is a blues with 60 BPM and in the key of E. First I going to show you the chords and the chord riff which is played and which make the signature sound of this Blues and then I going to show you a simple improvisation with the Question - Answer - Resolution “ concept. The concept works like this : You first play a motive which represents the question then play It again. After that you play the answer then play the question again and at the end comes the resolution. This is the improvisation concept which is used conscious or unconscious in most of the Blues compositions and blues improvisations. I show you the musical motifs in detail and with the proper timing. That way you understand how you can variate them in a easy way by just making variations on the timing signature. If you want to play the Jack by ACDC exactly the way as it played just listen to the original song and adapt the chords and the chord riff you learned here to the chords which are used there. But they are more or less the same and the riff is a very common blues riff which got famous by the song of AC DC. Even there is no guitar in the original song of course there can be a guitar played to this song. And what I'm showing here can be used for any other kind of rock and roll guitar situation. Since I have been playing in a professional rock and roll band for a long time I have the experience how rock and roll guitar on stage works and what the tricks are behind and I am showing this to you in this tutorial. The main thing in the rhythm guitar is that you have a steady relaxed right hand and you have the accent on count two and four. To be able to keep this going on a whole show like for one hour you have to be very relaxed. So pay close attention to the instructions I am giving you here. When it comes to lead guitar a rock and roll band situation is not as easy to handle as you might think. One of the main problems is that you need to keep the pressure and the Beat of the Music going on and don't lose it when you switch to lead guitar. With the instructions I'm giving you here you are ready to proceed this and to sound really cool in a rock and roll guitar situation.
