Late Night Jazz Piano can be very sopisticated and sexy. In this case I have worked with the acoustic of the famous jazzclub in NY " Birdland " and gave a modern touch to it with an ambient beat.

My mom passed away in peace on June 15th. Her wish was that I play a piano concert at her funeral and so I did. I played the colors of my mom. The funeral was on July 8th in the church in Bubikon ( Switzerland ) and the concert describs how my mom was and honors what she did for me. Thank you mom

Here I play an improvised Klavier Konzert at the day of the lunar eclipse on Jan 11th in the little church in Seegräben. The concept is that I fully improvise to each spectral color - and the music represents the emotional expression of each color. There are elements from film music and classical music in combination with style elements from Keith Jarrett ( Cologne Concert ), Yiruma ( River Flows in You ) , Michael Nyman ( The Piano ) Michelle Petrucciani or Brad Mehldau. I started to do more piano concerts in 2019 and to build up my pianist agency more to see how far this journey will take me.

Hey Per, thanks for your nice words 🙂 That was the last concert I was allowed to play since the pandemic began. I was ready to go to the big stages.... To your question - it's hard to keep it going on 2 instruments but I am doing music all my life and only music. Once you pass a certain point in musical development then all is the same. But I am playing piano since I was 6 and I was already professional with 20 - the time when I started guitar.

Here a simple piano concerto with a symphonic orchestra. This was a custom composed piece where my costumer asked to create something similar to " Hours " by Philip Glas. I never composed for symphonic orchestra before so this was my first attempt. It is autobiographic and somehow the music just came out of me and created this humble and emotional piece for symponic orchestra and piano. Here you can download this song : just two.mp3

Here's a wonderful tune I composed today for a very special person who crossed my way. The colors which are played are a mixture between light blue and orange. But the main color is light blue since this is in the key of C. The metrum is 6/8 - I love any kind of walz metrums since the represent eternity in the every going circle of life, purpose and evolution. Some might want to know who this special person is - this is a secret I keep to myself ? . But the song describes the part which I got to know.

Here some mystic and meditative farbmusik played on the piano. You can meditate with my colormusic to indigo & violet. The Songs are taking from my CD " Piano Requiem "

This is an improvisation in the color " dark blue " in the messure of 6/8. The style is a bit Yiruma and a bit Michel Nyman. The footage is showing the full moon rising above the lake of Greifensee in Switzerland.

I have released a pur piano CD with me playing a full concert in all colors. The entire CD is improvised and was recorded in one hour - all first take. Kind of the " Pure Music " approach which I really love.

iTunes Link Finally I released a new piano - CD. This CD represents a full " Farbmusik " concert where I first play the colours red, orange, yellow, green, lightblue, blue and violett and then I play 5 Songs in the add-on. Red, yellow, green, darkblue and violett. The stilistic range of my piano playing is around Keith Jarett, Brad Mehldau, Michel Petrucciani, Philip Glass, Michael Nyman but with my unique concept of playing colours. I am very proud that after playing many concerts my piano playing came on a new level were I felt it was time to release a new CD. In the booklet on iTunes you find a german descriptions of each song and the exact colour which is played.

I have composed and recorded a very dramatic solo piano - song. It is a bit influenced by Sergei Rachmaninov's Prelude in C#minor.

This is one of my favorite tunes which I recently composed for solo piano. A wonderful orange tune in the style of one of my favorite pianist - Michel Petrucciani. Too sad he passed away so early.

This is my Version of Herbie Hancock's " Round Midnight " - one of the few cover versions which can be heard on www.pianist.ch - just love it.

In my early years as a pianist I was focused mainly on Blues and Boogie Woogie. Here you find some recordings which give you an Impression of my style. Sometimes I still love to play this kind of music.
