Guitar Beginners I will start a new series of tutorials now. I want to guide the total guitar beginners through the first really hard 6-12 months of learning guitar. The point is - when you start with guitar there is not much you can do till you have the technical abilities to grab chords - specially the barré chords, to play some lead guitar with simple melodies and to do your first bendings, the first vibrato's and and and.... This phase can be really frustrating because things take time and you can not make any shortcuts. But my job as an instructor is to keep you guys motivated in this time and still get you a creative and fun vibes into your beginner steps on guitar. My system is different then the regular ones and it works. I got many feedbacks from beginner students over many years. In these tutorials I will also show everything slow and very precise. The will come with the title index " Guitar Beginners - ..... " and will be also marked with this tag here in the search tags. How is your Forum working ? Is it a Forum where all members can ask/answer questions ? If there is no " real " Forum yet, would it be interesting to create one or ... is there too much work involved ? Plse advise. Many thanks, JD

This club is the forum which is for the student to open any topic or ask questions. If you have questions on a specific tutorial you can ask there were the tutorial is posted. If you have any comments or questions on files which can be download there is also a comments section. I can make a video to explain all this if needed.

Yngwie Malmsteen is giving an interview with a drink in his hand wearing sunglasses. I really adored what he did on guitar even I sometimes hoped that he could play a few long notes in his solo's - but what do you guys think about hits interview. Hi guys, there will soon be some changments here in the HPCrazy Guitar Academy. Due to the high workload to keep the quality of content on the highest level I have decided to adapt the prices to the workload which is created. So here the the changments which are coming soon : New Price for Premium Memberships : 1 Year 60 US$ - Renewal 55 US$ 1 Month 6.50 US$ - Renewal 6 US$ These changes will only affect new subscribers. The current subscriptions will stay but the renewal will be with the new price. Just spent an hour blasting through "power shuffle rock", what a cheerful Christmas number! ...lol. Anyone else doing this one? I'm trying to create the "up scoop" on a couple of these dark chords by pressing on my stratocaster bridge with palm of hand just at the right moment, instead of tearing apart the neck by forcibly bending it repeatedly, anyone else have advice here? The notes need to finish with a scoop to sound right. Thanks... Johansen (beginner)

Thats not possible since I don't have the arrangment of this song anymore. But in general I think it would be possible - but since this is off topic I can not invest my time for that.

Ah now I get it what you are talking about - that should work on any guitar. Do can not break your guitar - well depends how strong you do that. But with normal pressure nothing should happen. You can also do that effect with your whammy bar - maybe it's just a matter of practice. But I can only tell if you see what you are talking about.

Another question on this piece of music: Do you by any chance have the drum score? You have an awesome drum shuffle groove going on in the backing track Did you orchestrate that yourself?...and would you possibly be willing to print the drum score? I can't quite figure out all the notes (drums) by ear. I'm better if I have the music. I know it's not part of the 'lesson', but if your software will print a drum score I would love to have it

You are bending the neck on those chords on your Les Paul which sounds awesome(!), but I don't want to thrash my Strat... lol! Trying to figure out alternate method for making the tonal "scoop". In essence, I'm using whammy bar in reverse, but I don't have enough time to get my right hand back to the next chord. If I can come close, I'll shoot a video

As it seem there are some issues if you want to renew your subscription once it expired. I thought I have changed the text. Where did you find that one ? And the system is like that - for existing subscribers with active running subscriptions the old price continues till they cancel and then the new price starts. I thought that would be fair - thanks that you upgraded the price volonteerly. 🙂

I am referring to “Basic Jazz Guitar” with download of Technical Exercises 1 and “Technical Exercises (Chords, modes & patterns) minor scales with download of Technical Exercises 2. I can do the scales relatively comfortably for both exercises by site reading but from memory…not so much. My difficulty is moving from scales to improvising……there is a missing link which i cannot get by…..hoping for that epiphany where it all will come together…

which one are those ? You mean the technical exercises ? Nobody thinks that one is ready to perform - better just perform for the fun of performing. I would be curious to hear your playing.

Thank you…..have been working daily on your technical exercises 1 & 2….slow process in memorizing. Have listened to both tutorials several times along with reading theory. Also working on your Autumn leaves, Summertime and your recent Mack the Knife. Not ready to perform any of them just yet….maybe by this time next year? Greg

It's quite a lot of work to tag all lesson. I will tag all departments in the next time - at least the first page of all lessons to start somewhere. And from then on all new tutorials will have the level tag but also other tags which makes finding the lesson of your choice much easier.
